Yay what a fun contest. 1) Favorite action is the Touch of Light/Dark. 2) It completely saves some shots that you think are ruined. You can enhance your subject. MCP actions are actions you use all the time, simple yet efficient. 3). If MCP were to create new actions, I would love texture actions.

    Erica Velasco –

1 – Just got some of your actions and LOVE them! My fav so far is the Complete Workflow action set. But I use your free frame action on all my images!

2 – The actions in total are very complete and let you customize them per photo, which is extremely useful!

3 – I’d like to see more black and white actions (different kinds) and maybe some that can be used to stylize wedding photos in particular. Not sure what that would be but haha just a thought.

1: Definitely the Touch of Lightness Touch of Dark.
2: Easy to use… easy to understand… and yield fabulous results.
    3. One that gives a slight boost without over saturating the colors.

1 – What is your favorite MCP Action Set (can be free or purchased)? My favorite is the Tell A Story-Board, I love how easy it is to create a storyboard, instantly!

2 – What do you like best about your favorite MCP Action Set, or about the actions from MCP Actions as a whole? They are all so easy to use, it’s great that you don’t have to read a book to be able to use them.

3 – Describe what type of action(s) you hope MCP Actions makes in the future. I would love to see something funky, with lots of textures.

Ok, here’s my favorite — the free Touch of Light/Touch of Dark. I have purchased quite a few mcp actions, but this freebie set is one I use on almost every picture for one thing or another. AND ITS FREE!!! What action would I hope to see in the future?? How about some more frames or some kind of overlay action? What about an action to make hair shiny-er? Can you do that?

  6. July 28, 2008 at 11:31 pm —

    1. I love the edge burning action
    2. Whenever I try to burn edges, it just doesn’t look right. One side is always off from the other and it just doesn’t…go. But with this action, I get what I want every time.
    3. I would like to see more free actions…lol, I’m just starting out and anything I can get my hands on (on my budget) is such a help to my work flow.

  7. July 28, 2008 at 10:38 pm —

Humm… 1. I really love the burnt edges action 2. It’s so simple but adds so much drama to my black and white images 3. I’d like to see more storyboard actions or frames. Thanks for all you do to make me better at what I do!

  8. July 28, 2008 at 8:59 pm —

    1. Favorite is the eye doctor! 2. They are practical and actions that I want to use frequently! 3.I would like some more borders and textures! Thanks!

  9. July 28, 2008 at 8:24 pm —

The only ones I’ve used are the Eye Doctor/Dentist, though I just heard of a freebie that I want to try (touch of light, touch of dark?). I love the Eye Doctor and Dentist actions equally. The Eye Doctor enhances the eyes perfectly, making their true beauty shine through. And the Dentist makes everybody’s teeth look great, even if they have some problems to begin with (and who doesn’t want their smile to look wonderful, yet still like their own?!). 😀

What would I like to see? Hmmmm, I was starting to create my own set of Silhouetting Actions, but since you’ve recently had that series on silhouettes, I think it’d be cool if you made some of those. 🙂

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win a Tracy Joy bag!!

Jodi, you always have the BEST contests!!

SO hard to choose just one fav, but I think probably the Tell-a-storyboard sets are my favorites. I’m not skilled at creating layouts, and those storyboards are so easy to use and my clients love them! I would love to see you come out with a set of Lightroom presets to compliment your actions.

My fav action is Touch of Lightness/Touch of Darkness action, to give your pic that little extra it needs. Actually, that is the case with all of them, you make it so much easier to have great pics. I would like to see some grunge/hard edged actions, to make a pic a bit extreme (do you know what I mean :-D)

    1) I can’t choose one set! I love the complete workflow, eye doctor and dentist! They are all absolutely amazing! I’m sure the others are too – I am saving my $$ to buy more!!
    2) I’m going to talk about the eye doctor because I have used other eye-enhancing actions and they do not even COMPARE to yours. I love that sharp-as-a-tack is limited to just the eye!
    3) I would love to use actions with texture, as others have mentioned. I watched your texture tutorial and I’m trying and experimenting, but an action would be so awesome.

  13. July 28, 2008 at 6:44 pm —

    1.) Eye Doctor
2.) I’ve used several others like it and they just don’t compare. Jodi does a great job with all her actions to make them user friendly and backs it all up by sharing ways to help you continuely grow in your knowledge of Phtotshop!
3.) Some template actions would be fantastic. You’re the best Jodi – Thanks for all you do!

  14. July 28, 2008 at 6:24 pm —

My favorite action is the eye doctor, the reason I love it is it makes my post production work much faster…and it yields great results!
My hope is that Jodi will make an action that inspires me to shoot something just so I can use it.

  15. July 28, 2008 at 5:57 pm —

    1. touch of light touch of darkness
    2. doesn’t destroy pixels, EASY to use, every picture needs it!
    3. a one click action that immediatly takes out color casts, puts in contrast, pops color, lightens and pops eyes, sharpens and doesn’t need any evaluation from me to make it look good 🙂

  16. July 28, 2008 at 5:32 pm —

Great contest. Hard to choose my favorites and why.
    1) I love the Quickie collection but I think eye doctor is tied for first.
    2) I love that they are quick, easy and that you can change the opacity of the layers if you want.
    3) I would love some template actions.

It’s very, very hard to choose but I love the Gallery Frames Actions. It makes it quick and simple to show how a pix will look framed and give it just that extra little ooomph. LOL I would love to see a frame action that takes the original photoe and uses that as the frame. Thanks for all you do! Adrianne

    1- I really like the Tell-a-storyboard set.
2- I like that the storyboards are very classic and easy to use, but I can also change the background/border if I want.
3- I LOVE templates (holidays, storyboards, baby announcements, etc.) and textures so any actions with those would be my recommendation!

    1. the complete workflow set, but the magic skin comes in at a close second
    2. the fact that you can paint the parts that you want to part, leaving the skin untouched… that’s my favorite part
    3. i agree w/ gina above, more texturizing actions, and more borders…

    1. Quicke Collection is the best!!!!!!!!! I use something from the set with almost every pic.
    2. Of Course the easy of using the action is the best part of MCP’s Action sets…what a time saver!!
    3. There isn’t anything in particular that I am looking for, Maybe some texturizing actions. I am considering purchasing the Frosted Memories Collection, I think there are some textures in there!
