Please VOTE for me – and yes this is a popularity photo contest

So I decided to enter a photo contest – the prize is a NEW BLOG from Into the Darkroom.  There are 171 entries.  So my chances SLIM…  The winners will be picked two ways.  One is with judges.  The other is a popular vote.

The theme was “Capture the Summer Feeling” and it said: “submit one photo that really captures the summer feeling.  we are looking for images that really tell a summer story.  make you feel like your 10 again with a jar full or lighting bugs in the backyard.  beaches, pools, hot dogs and bbq, whatever your summer is, share it for a chance to win.”

So as you can see, even though my entry is a SNAPSHOT not a portrait, it fits the theme perfectly.

When I sent it in, I got this note back:

When the deadline comes to a close, the popular vote will start, so get as many people voting for you as possible!

Normally I frown on people BEGGING for votes in a photo contest.  But for this one, it actually has a second component besides the judges.  THE POPULAR VOTE!  So I need your help.  This will be tough to win, but I figure, it cannot hurt to give it a shot.  Right?

So click here to vote, and PRETTY PLEASE vote for my twins dumping seaweed on each other.  Here is a screen capture of what you are looking for – it is entry 0020.  Click on the thumbnail of this image on their site and then vote for it.  IF I WIN, YOU ALL WIN SINCE I WOULD GET AN EVEN COOLER BLOG to POST ON.  I think I would be able to even embed videos then!!!  Anyway – thank you for voting.  Oh, and ask your friends and relatives to vote for my seaweed summer girls too!  Spread the word!

Thanks a million.
