I received many emails about this photo that won grand prize from the Color Inc & MCP Gallery Wrapped Canvas Photo Contest. The photo was taken by Laureen Carruthers. I asked her to explain her inspiration for this photo.
She wrote the following: “when I saw Parker lying and relaxing in the shallow water – I KNEW I had to use my fisheye! I totally envisioned the shot…how it would look like he was lying at the top of the world…and it came out exactly as planned. I didn’t have a ton of time to set it up…as I wanted to capture it right at that moment. I shot on manual, with my fisheye lens set at 4.0…as I wanted some focus on the background as well. ISO was at 200, as it was nice and bright out, and my shutter speed was at 1/3200. Thanks so much to everyone who voted for my photos – my son & I are SO excited!”
