MCP Project 52 – Features from Week 2 + Theme for Week 3

Wow!  It’s been a tremendous week for MCP Project 52! We have over 2,100 participants and have seen nearly 1,000 photos added this week!  It’s a pleasure to be a moderator for MCP Project 52, as I get to see the submissions as they roll in each day! If you want to join in, check out what you need to do here.

Project 52 Banners are Here! Let everyone know you’re a part of Project 52 with our awesomely designed Banners (thanks, Justin!) You can use these on your website, blog, Facebook page, etc. and if your photo has been featured on the Project 52 blog, make sure you grab the “I was featured” Banner!

(Use the Direct Link or Code below to display the banners on your website, or save them to your computer to upload to Facebook.)

The “I’m a Participant” Banner: (everyone who is a part of MCP Project 52 may use this banner)

The “I was Featured” Banner: (use this banner if you were featured in week 1 or 2)

A couple of things: Please be sure that your photos were captured within the correct date range for the week’s challenge.  If they’re taken prior to that time period, they will not be approved for the group pool.  Weeks run Saturday-Friday – the date range for week three is 1/15-1/21/11.  Also, if you’d like to increase the likelihood of your photo ending up as a feature in the weekly blog update, remember to tag it with the week number – i.e. 3/52.  Finally, please add some contact information in your photo’s description – website, Facebook page, etc. – so we can properly credit you if you make the week’s top 10!

If your photo was featured this week, be sure to grab the banner above that touts your achievement!  I know you’ve been wondering all week what you have to play with next week, so here goes:  The theme for week three is “Shades of Gray“.  I’m sharing a photo below to kick off the week’s theme (taken by my wonderfully talented husband, Dave):

Shades of Gray

Ready?  Set?  GO!!!  Make beautiful photos, then show them off.  We can’t wait to see!

The week’s featured photos were compiled by Kristin Snyder.  She’s a mom to three, and she and her husband are Snyders Photography {WebsiteFacebook}, based in northeast Georgia, USA.  She has a BFA in photography from MassArt and an MA as well.  Loves:  Nikon, chocolate, shooting 1.8, the smell of the ocean and time with her family.

Week 3 is shades of grey, which is listed just under the rainbow photo, and above the b&w photo of a night light…
