It will help me to show my clients to help them to pick the capture I made for them and it will be easy access just to touch and let them pick what they wanted to have them print or on DVDS. I don’t make much of money and it’s really hard to get one. I am dealing with tough in my life still. My ipad got stolen couple months ago and police can’t do anything. Also I would like to keep in touch with my family using webcam since I don’t see them in like almost 3 years. This would help my business to run smoother and improved my work. Please give me a chance to have my business improve and bring my clients smile.

Having an iPad would help me tremendously with my photography business. For the longest time since I started photography (10 years ago) I wanted to get a laptop, but since the iPad came out and can help me accomplish what I need with previewing images immediately at t-ball photo-shoots with parents, to making sure I hit the tack sharp image before leaving the scene. This would be a great benefit for me to enhance my business and client interactions. Not to mention my kids are homeschooled and would LOVE for mom to have one for educational games “on the fly” while traveling to our next destination.

  45. 45
    Jodi Sware says:

Oh, i’ve been coveting an Ipad for quite some time now, but something else always seems to come first. I would love the portability of it, to quickly show images or to look something up on the internet when i’m out working or travelling! Please pick me!

  46. 46
    Melissa Ann says:

My business has no computer… I share my video gaming husband’s computer which is a desktop. He plays it during the evenings. I chase toddler twins during the day (who mostly want to be outside!) and am stuck editing all my work during naptimes when I should be doing something else. An Ipad2 would let me edit and do business work during sometime other than naptime and even in the backyard. It’d be a great surprise :)

  47. 47
    Ann Daniel says:

How would I use an iPad 2? Well, all of the time for everything! At home with my kids, to read books, to update my blog and of course, to have some fun with. I’m an amateur photographer and don’t take photos as well as professionals so I would be lying if I could say it would help with a photography business. I’m a Marriage and Family therapist who works mostly with kids and they often create things in session (intricate sand trays that they put a lot of effort into) and I’ve always wanted an iPad so I can upload photos of their creations to so when I go to supevision with my supervisor, we can have a crystal clear and large shot of their creations to discuss.

  48. 48
    Jennifer Welch says:

  51. 51
    Nicole Garcia says:

I love would an ipad! I dont have business but i’m always taking pictures and i would love to have something to bring with me to my miother-in-laws house. They don’t have a computer, so it’s hard to show them pictures of their granddaughter. This would make it sooo much easier!

  52. 52
    Olga Ford says:

An ipad 2 would be an excellent way to further my children’s exploration in digital art. They love the doodle buddy and face in hole apps already and would be able to do so much more on the ipad’s large screen. My 8 year old is already interested in learning photography and photoshop. This would be great for me, as well, to be able to share my work very easily.

  53. 53
    Amber says:

i would absolutely LOVE to win an ipad2… i am a growing photographer and this would be an amazing way to help me learn even more and a great tool to use to show clients photos and information when we meet up for session consults. i would seriously be so grateful and would get so much use out of it. i would just LOVE to win this amazing prize! :)

  54. 54
    Sherry says:

I would love to have the ipad!!! My laptop is large so it’s hard to carry around to show my photos. The ipad would be great for doing that and would help get my greeting card business mobile.

  55. 55
    Kara C says:

Oh my goodness.. Please pick me!
An ipad2 would keep me from hauling around all those physical photos when I go to meet with clients at coffee shops, it would allow me to send replies and update blog/facebook faster when I’m away shooting, and, most importantly, it would keep my soon-to-be five year old son occupied and learning when I’m working on a big project!
All good thoughts and wellness! :)

I have been lusting after the Ipad 2 since it came out! I would LOVE to be able to carry around a portable portfolio! It would be amazing to have that at my fingertips at all times. 58. 58
  59. 59
    Atina King says:

Having an ipad 2 would really help my business. I could let clients view their proofs on a correctly calibrated screen, and could also use it as a digital portfolio. Also, it would allow my kids to be able to do their homework on the ipad, while I’m using the home computer to edit.

  60. 60

I would love to have an iPad 2 for my growing photography business – I think it would be a very slick device to showcase my portfolio to my clients.

  61. 61
    Antonio says:

The most obvious improvement would be the fastest way to share the production. It would very easy to involve the customers in the postproduction flow and make it more participative.

An I-Pad would help me show my work to potential clients. Instead of just whipping out a card, how great would it be to whip out an I-Pad and actually make an impression on them. I think it would help my business grow by leaps and bounds.

  67. 67
    Mike Le Gray says:

As an Englishman living in Germany, it can be extremely difficult in finding new portrait clients, especially as my German isn’t very good. I teach at an English school part-time, to supplement my income, and show interested, mature students my best work on my iPhone 4.

They look really good on there, but of course, the screen is pretty small for that kind of purpose. I’ve wanted an iPad as a portfolio/marketing tool since I first saw one, as I believe it would really help me to convert more of those leads into paying work.

As an aside, buying English-language books and magazines is very expensive. A $5 dollar magazine costs me nearer to €20-25! I already use the Kindle and iBook software on my iPhone, which is OK, but trying to read my digitally-subscribed magazines (which are far, far cheaper) on Zinio, is really not a satisfying experience.

If I could afford an iPad, like most, I would buy one, in an instant.

This could be a real game-changer for me, so thank you at least for the chance of winning one.

  68. 68
    Jackie S says:

I would LOVE an iPad too for in-home ordering!! It would me so much easier then lugging a laptop around or even sending them to a gallery online. I am all about the one-on-one with my clients and think that this would just help me go that extra mile for them :)

Having an Ipad2 could make a HUGE impact on my life. As a new photographer I invision myself being able to show photos to my clients on the spot without having to be in my home. this could make my business more profitable as people are more likely to purchase on the spot versus having to wait to see proofs. On a personal level I would like to share the Ipad2 with my 9yo son who is autistic. I have learned so much from him. It would make a major impact on him as he is a visual learner. The Ipad2 could encourage him to broaden his horizons of knowledge and increase his academic success.

Ahhh ~ it would be so wonderful to showcase my portfolio to potential clients and galleries to current clients. I could also take all my “paper documents” to a complete digital system with having clients review & sign directly on the ipad (my iphone is just not large enough to do this). I have also thought about some “on the spot” booth type sessions and the ipad would allow me to show clients their product for ordering. YEAH!

So basically, an iPad would help my business tremendously by allowing me to edit pictures on it instead of this poor excuse for a laptop, I could show clients their images immediately, I could have internet on the go (which I think I’m one of the only people on the planet to not own a Smart Phone)….the possibilities are endless!

Being a beginner in such a huge career field is a rough spot to be in. I think on more then one level the Ipad 2 could not only help my growth but expand my horizons as well. Having such a compact device that I could take with me, I could preview pics, I could constantly be reading and learning more everywhere I am and have it nearby on shoots in case I need inspiration or ideas. Organization, client flow, appointments, educational, it is a multi tool of sorts. Something like this not only will help me grow now but will help in the future and grow with any business I create or become apart of. It can be a very cost effective tool that is a priceless mode for work.

I would like to have an iPad to take when I travel or out in the field so I could download all my cards and free them up for more photos. The portability has all kinds of advantages. I don’t have a laptop or an iPad so I am chained to my office computer. Thanks for the contest opportunity!

Winning an Ipad would help increase my business, b/c I could take it to photo shoots for clients to take a peek at their pictures right away. This would allow them a chance to say which they liked before I even edit! It would certainly be easier to carry around! Thanks for the opportunity MCP Actions!

I’m a graphic designer for a photo studio as well as free lance. My portfolio is kind of hefty to lug around and sometimes it’s not convenient to boot up the laptop. An iPad would let me show my clients and the studio clients my work samples in a much easier way than I currently am able.

And iPad would be a major step ahead for me and going into business with photography. Not only could I share nice sized images right in front of potential and current clients, it can help with paperwork, organization and look pretty snazzy doing so. I’d so love an iPad as my business partner (hubby) doesn’t see the need. So I wish!

Winning an iPad would boost my business leaps and bounds. I could use it in the field with clients to review right then and there! I would be useful in trade shows at my booth to pull new clients towards me. I would be great to just carry with me at all time and when someone says “oh you are a photographer”, I can just pull it out of my bag and say “why yes would you like to see my portfolio”. So much better than just handing them a business card 10 fold!

  453. 453

If I won the iPad 2 it would make showing my clients their photos so much easier. The iPad is light and easy to take along on photo shoots and to meet with potential clients to show my work on at a nice viewing size and format. Whoever wins this will have gained a great asset.

I cant count the number of ways it would change my business! The most important one for me is that I would be able to gain SOOOO much more knowledge….to be able to take all of the articles/blogs with me and read them wherever I want instead of trying to read them when I have a minute at my desktop.
Not to mention it would immensely help keep me organized!

I’m not a professional photographer, but I am passionate about it as a hobby. I spend hours sitting alone in my “home studio,” (some would call it a messy office), editing and downloading photos. Having an ipad2 would mean that I could spend that time in the same room as my family pursuing my hobby. I travel quite a bit too, because my family all live overseas. It would be wonderful to have an ipad to travel with, so that I can share photos of my children and family with my relatives overseas; in particular my elderly Aunt and Uncle who think that computers are some kind of magic – well, I guess with an ipad, they wouldn’t be far wrong!

Oh how I could use this in my business! A few ways right off the bat! 1) I choose to do all my proofing sessions at my office in my home, some can’t always make it, so meething them in a public place and using the ipad to showcase the photos would be a great way to interact with these clients. 2) Being so portable taking it to coffee shop, etc would allow me to just open my photos to showcase them. I have so many mothers always wanting to see my photography but many don’t get online with busy lives or take the time to look on facebook. Having an ipad on had is like a portable portfolio of my work! 3) I would love to research photography poses, location ideas when Im out and about. In place of my mini phone screen!

I could have used it this past weekend!I was shooting a college graduation, and last year lighting was very different than this years. 800 pictures later, I find that the white balance is crazy off as my flash reflected off of the gowns (I would never have guessed that would be a problem). So, with that said, I would use it to see the pics better than what is offered through the LCD screen on the camera. The shots looked great in the cameras view finder and LCD screen, but when I got back home half of them were a lighting mess. I would use this as a tool to show clients their shots and adjust the composition or lighting with better results. I think this tool would also allow me to preview shots with the client and get better sales up front. All in all, a fantastic tool that I wish I could afford.

    Christi says:

A great tool that would allow me to see what I’m doing BEFORE I get home (that darned window is too small on my camera back!), also, as I’m venturing into some PS designing, I’ve been surfing alot and looking at online ads (you know, what I like, what I don’t – it really gets the creative juices flowing!) – this could be done one the run! Or in my case, on the ‘wait’ as I’m waiting for my kids!

    Will Howard says:

I can see the biggest asset to using an iPad (which by the way, I would greatly appreciate), would be to show clients their photos, or to show potential clients my ideas, or portfolio.

Photoshop CS5 and iPad can also link together now, so that would be another great asset to what I do.

I would love to use an ipad2 for many aspects of my business… one place to store inspiration photos, a place to show my portfolio to prospective clients, a way to sign contracts digitally on site, etc.

    Donna Miller says:

This ipad would be a dream come true! Volunteering photography at local animal shelters for pets, I participate in 15 to 20 events every year where I display my work in a 10×10 tent. Would love to show people who come to these events photos of pets that need loving homes at these rescues. A majority of my display are rescued pets & to show them current pets for adoption on an ipad would be awesome! (And hopefully find them homes). Using the ipad in everyday business would help free up so much of my time in presenting to clients their options. What a great giveaway!

Also liked Designs by Aime on FB, great designs!

I already am friends with MCP and just became friends and “liked” Designs by Amie. How would an Ipad help me? Let me tell you…it would be so awesome to bring my finished work to a clients house and show them along with make suggestions on how and where to hang their prints. Thanks for the chance!

This is just an image that I took recently that I really liked…gotta love the sun flare in pictures.

  573. 573

An IPad would help me in all aspects of my work – become more organized, to be able to use with proofs, to share my portfolio, keep note, you name it! Thanks for the chance! :)

I am not a professional photographer, but where I could use this iPad is within my duties as a high school teacher. One of my subjects is yearbook, and that class is crazy to try and organize. If I had an iPad, I am convinced that I could accomplish more and be more organized in terms of directing the staff.

  583. 583
    Sharon says:

Since I don’t have a laptop this would allow me to have a ‘walking’ portfolio.

  584. 584

I have made an investment in camera, lenses, home monitor, and software (including many MCP Actions). However, I do not have a portable way to show my work. I have been asked to be the photographer for my 3 daughters’’ swim team. Water and swimming photography is striking in the first place, but I would love to able to display the images on the latest technology and bring a smile to the swimmers I shoot. The iPad would be an ideal format.
I would like for the iPad to help me make some money from what has become a very expensive hobby, because I would never charge the team members for prints. I would like see seek other avenues of revenue.

If I had an iPad, I totally would do all of those things to boost my business to the next level!

Not a pro, but oh could I use an iPad… For the e-books for sure. For the entertainment factor for my children (oh fine, and ME). For the FUN. For the fact that then I would have something of a computer when I travel!

  669. 669

I just got a card swiper that can be used with the ipad2 for my photography business but don’t have the money for the ipad2 yet. Once I get the ipad2, I will be able to not only have clients pay with check or cash, but with a card, which will make it much easier for them to pay. I can have my clients just swipe their cards right there at the photoshoot. I can hardly wait to be able to make payments so much more flexible for them!

The ipad2 will also give me the chance to evaluate and compare my photos when I’m really anywhere. It will be a necessary tool for my business and I am looking forward to hopefully soon having one!

Of course, I would probably be able to sneak out of the house with the ipad every now and then, use it download photos from my camera, check the latest from MCP and Designs by Amie on FB, and more! :)

I love to photograph. I love to show off my pictures. But, these are not the reasons that I would love an iPad. My son has a learning disability that affects the way his vision and his brain work together. There are so many amazing aps that would benefit him both in school and at home. It would decrease his anxieties and improve his reading and writing skills, thus making school so much easier and more enjoyable for him. I understand why you would want to share this iPad with someone doing photography as this is a blog directed for that. You asked how this would affect my personal life and this is it. My son is my life. If he’s better, then I’m better.

I am just getting started in the business and what an amazing tool to be able to have an up to date portfolio right there to show clients. I think it could definitely grow my business and make me really proud of how far I have come. I have a 2 year old and my husband is a state patrolman and he works all the time. I keep giving discounts to friends having hard times and done free session for 3 friends this month b/c of medical expenses or lost jobs. I really think that this would make me be able to say.. I am good enough to charge the prices I charge and people would possible take me more seriously.
I hope that the person that wins this, would be very blessed!

  697. 697
    Holly Sisson says:

Oh, so many ways! Could show clients larger examples of my portfolio when on the go (right now I show them on my iPhone, so small!). I also do a lot of iPhoneography art (see attached), and have earned some money from it, iPad would help that work as well as, again, it is hard to see on the iPhone, it is so small (and I’m a purist, and only shoot/process iPhoneography on my iPhone, no PhotoShop work).

My business would be boosted tremendously by winning an ipad. As it is, fb is a dear social networking friend. I connect with clients, find old friends who become new clients, and I’m able to display pictures to friends and clients who are interested in my growing work. I wish I’d have the finances to invest in my own, but that just wouldn’t be possible anytime soon. I’ve just officially started my business over the past 2 years after a devastating layoff. Photography has been my second wind, my fresh start, and the thing that makes me want to go to work in the morning. Anything that could help me help that grow would be such a huge blessing! Thank you so much for the opportunity!

  864. 864

The iPad is ideal for photographers. It will make it easier to make sales outside of the studio. Since I don’t have an iPhone, this would allow me to run charge cards on location and also pull up and share my website. The possibilities are endless.

Thank you so much for sharing your tips and actions.

    Mary says:

I am not a professional photographer, but I enjoy photography. Since I’m the working mom and my husband is the stay-at-home dad, I don’t have the time, money, or tools to really take my photography to the next level. However, I am inspired by two of my friends who have either started their own photography businesses or are just starting out. Someday, I hope to do the same. In the meantime, an iPad2 will allow me to learn and keep up with the latest techniques. If I ever start my own business, I like the idea of being able to show pictures off-site and do orders at the same time. It would be a great tool for organizing appointments and keeping notes about clients (likes, dislikes, etc).

This really would update my buisness in SO many ways. I would love to be able to show clients in person proofing, online galleries so I could place orders *while* I am sitting there with them. Then review their order and they can confirm its correct. I know sales tend to increase when you sit them down go through it and lock them in immediatly as well. I desperatly need to increase sales so this would really take my buisness to the next level.

I also never thought of an app for posing ideas, I LOVE that, and that would be so awesome, becuase I do think we get stuck in our ruts sometimes!

having an iPad 2 will change my photography business to an even more positive viewing experience for my customers and for myself. I would love to be able to use this when taking photos of the babies in the hospital/NICU. I would be able to just upload the proofs and show the parents right on the spot without having to lug cords and the touch screen features would just bring me out of the computer darkage. This would be an amazing tool to add to my growing business.

I have an iPad on loan from my husband’s school and will be completely lost without when he turns it back in. I designed a photo book for a client recently and it was so nice showing her the book on our flat screen while we sat on the sofa with the iPad to go through her session’s proofs if she wanted to replace any images in the book. The iPad’s screen is really amazing and is perfect for in person proofing. It would be wonderful to win one, because I will definitely be lost next week without this loaner. I’m off to check out Designs by Aimee on fb! Thanks for the opportunity!

Photographs just “POP” when being viewed on the IPAD. I’ve been trying to put together a home studio, piece by piece and having the IPAD to display my work could possibly give me the edge I’ve been looking for to promote sales. Club members have shown me their work and the colors are just unbelievable. Not only could I use it for display, but to schedule appointments would be a big help. I finally would have some order with it. I could really use one. I’ve alway had you guys as a “LIKE” site. Good luck to all.
