Welcome to the first month of Project MCP. In case you missed the big announcement, Project 12 is now Project MCP. Learn more about Project MCP and how it works here .
Each month the Project MCP Team will reveal four to five challenges, enough for a new challenge to start each Saturday of the month. On the first Saturday of each month, we will give you all of the challenges so you can work at your own pace. Do one or do them all. We hope this will keep you inspired and shooting through the year.
Here are the challenges for March:
- Challenge #1 – Take a picture from a high vantage point, from above your subject
- Challenge #2 – Capture a photo using natural light.
- Challenge #3 – Express the following word in a photo: Transition
- Challenge #4 – Create a “guess what” photo – this is a photo that is so close up that the subject becomes abstract.
We cannot wait to see your interpretations of the March challenges.
Don’t forget, you can complete all four challenges, or just a few. If you are just joining us, you can check out all the details of Project MCP on the main page. Also, don’t forget to visit the blog each Saturday to see highlights from the past week.
Do you need some extra incentive to play along? Tamron USA is going to give away a few lenses directly tied to participation throughout the year. Don’t miss your chance to win one. Watch for details in the future.
We want to thank our corporate sponsors for Project MCP:

Love the new set up! I couldn’t help but write down some ideas as I read though the challenges. Also excited to use flickr again. 🙂
Thanks – it’s sometimes difficult to inspire myself to experiment with my photography – and suggestions from others really help.
