Every hobbyist and professional photographer with a d-SLR needs a way to carry his or her gear. I love using my Shootsac while taking pictures to hold extra lenses and extra “stuff.”  It holds your lenses and a flash while you carry your camera and do what you are best at – taking pictures!

shootsac1 600x282 The Ultimate Shootsac Lens Bag Giveaway + Discount Code

The winner of this contest will get a newly redesigned Shootsac lens bag + choice of any one cover, subject to availability. I have had a Shootsac for years, and just got the newest version.  It is even better than before – it has wider pockets so it easily fits my Canon 70-200 2.8 and it has swivel hooks so you don’t get tangled.  I love the stylish new covers, but since I have a LOT of covers, the best news is that my older covers fit my new bag.

I grew up in and around London and have been in California for the past 17 years. I miss home so much, especially the city. Since I’ve been gone I’ve been married, become a mother, and now a photographer. So, I would love to take my camera, alone (sorry, I love my daughter but she’s 3 and won’t stand still long enough for a good shot) back to London, to try and capture some images of the London I know, love, and remember, for the walls around my house – to bring a little bit of “home” back with me.

I would bring my Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 lens for some beautiful wide angles of cityscapes and historic architecture, a 70-200mm 2.8 for lurking on city streets and capturing more photojournalistic shots, and my 24-70mm 2.8 for everything inbetween. I think that would cover the full spectrum!

I LIKE MCP on Facebook. Love me some Jodi!

I like Shootsac and MCP Actions on Facebook! I would go to the Grand Canyon at sunset – been there many times (I even live right next door in New Mexico!), but I never get the shot I really want. Without a doubt, I’d take my:

    Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L
    Canon 100mm Macro f/2.8L
    Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L

I’ve been wanting a Shootsac for a few months now – hope I win!

I’d be at an Equestrian event taking pictures of the most fabulous animals. I love horses. And I love the people who love them.

Have been a fan of yrs for a while…
If I could go anywhere, I would love to Machu Pichu, Peru. It’s the first thing that popped into my head when I read the question. My mom was born in Peru and has been to Machu Pichu. Everyone says it is So magical. I love that I could be where people took such strength, intelligence, and endurance to build a home in a location as mesmerizing as the mountains of Peru. And lived quite well for so long. It’s kind of like the pyramids. We are surrounded by technologies that do everything for us that to go there, be back to basics… Although if I could have my technology with me… My camera and three favorite lens’ (50mm 1.2, 70-200 2.8, and 24-70 2.8) I would be the happiest girl in the world. However for this trip I would probably sneak in a fish eye and a macro. To be in Machu Pichu and not have EVERYTHING with you would be a shame hahahah.

I now shoot Nikon and I would love to bring a 50mm 1.4, 24-70mm 2.8, and a 70-200mm… I think I would be covered ;)

Thanks for making me think! And I’ve already liked you and your post on fb.

Then last but not least I’d bring a zoom, maybe a 300mm so I can go up the Tower and take shots of different landmarks (The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe, etc) right from there. It would be awesome!

I think it would have to be Yellowstone, in the dawn, with the bison breath steaming in the cool morning air, the hot springs bubbling, Elk out grazing… I would have a 400mm telephoto, my 35 – 250mm Sigma, and a 16mm fisheye lens. I have found myself more interested in floral & fauna lately, and visiting Yellowstone last year, and not having the 400mm telephoto was disappointing.

Imagine if you could go anywhere in the world for just one hour, by magically snapping your fingers. In this “vision” you have your camera, three lens and a Shootsac. What destination would you pick and what three lenses would you bring (and you do not need to currently own them)?

That’s nearly impossible to narrow down! The tropics are stunning. I’ve always wanted to see New Zealand, Scotland, and India. But, if I only had an hour? Probably Alaska. I want to see the Northern Lights.

I’d take the three lenses I have – while they’re not much, I do know how to use them! That’s more important than fancy, at this stage. I’d take my 50mm, 55-250mm, and 15-85 stock lens.

  533. 533

The lenses I would take with me would be a 50mm f/1.4, a 70-200mm f/2.8 for zoom, and maybe the 100mm f/2.8 macro. Now that’s a dream!! :)

As I read everyone’s entry, I could think of a bunch of “vacation destinations” I would love to go to, but really only place comes to mind right now– home. Home is where my heart is, and I don’t visit as much as I should. I would bring my 70-200mm, an 85mm, and a 50mm.

  721. 721

I am already following you on Facebook :)

I would go to New Zealand to capture the wonderful nature there and I would bring my family for photos :)
My choice of lenses would be canon 24-70mm 2.8L, my canon 100mm macro 2.8L and a fisheye…

If I could go anywhere in the world, today I would say Edmonton…I know its not fancy or wild, but my biological sister lives there. I have only met her in person a few times and I want to meet her fiance and son. THey were supposed to be here, now, but had to cancel the trip due to car troubles. I would take my Nikon D300 with my 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8 and 70-300mm 4.5-5.6. :)

  725. 725

Love this bag!!!! I can see where this would make my job so much easier.

  726. 726

I would go to Japan-the land of my ancestors. I would take a 10.5 mm2.8 fisheye for landscapes, a 24-70 mm/2.8 for portraits and events. And the third lens I would take would be a 200-400 telephoto for any wildlife or close ups I want. Pretty ambitious for just an hour’s worth of shooting though! Once equipped like that, I would definitely have to return for a couple of weeks!

Thanks for giving me a moment to “dream” and set some goals!

    WALT DISNEY WORLD

    3 lenses:

35 1.4 for capturing the fireworks (Illuminations) at Epcot!
70-200 4L IS for capturing the joy on my toddler’s face while on the kiddy rides :)
    24-70 2.8 –Walk around lens!

Would LOVE the shoot sac–I find my ginormous camera bag to be incredibly stylish, but not so much convenient while out on shoots!

If I could go anywhere in the world right now I think I’d choose San Pablo, Belize. My son and daughter in law just returned from there yesterday. The photos they took were awesome. I’d take my 50mm 1.2, my 70-200 and a 85mm. Want to go with me? lol

    Michelle Pranger says:

If I could snap my fingers and be anywhere, it would have to be Italy. I think it is romantic and would be an awesome photo shoot. The three lenses I would take would be: Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 10-22mm, Canon Lens EF 85mm, and Canon Zoom Lens EF 70-200mm. This gives my my wide angles, zoom and close-ups for all my shooting. I currently use a backpack and is very bulky and not easy to switch from lens to lens. I typically only carry one lens because of the hassle of switching. What a great idea for a camera bag. Currently am a a FB fan, love your page and ideas. Thanks for holding the contest, good luck to all who entered.

I would go to the Southern USA, maybe New Orleans. I was able to go there several years ago and it was absolutely amazing. I would love to back with great gear and get some worthy images. I would have to take 24-105mm, 70-200mm 2.8, 16-35mm 2.8 although I really love the ease of using my inexpensive 18-200mm 3.5 lens because one lens grabs all of those lengths, the weight isn’t bad, I don’t have to freak out about anything happening to a $1000.+ lens while traveling and the photos are still great quality – now if it were only a 2.8…. and since it is so small and nobody would notice, one extra – of course, my 50mm 1.8 ;)

Without a doubt, I would go to Machu Pichu in Peru. It is on the very TOP of my bucket list! Physical handicaps and a suppressed immune system might keep me from getting there in real life… SO, getting there in the snap of a finger would be A DREAM!!! sigh. what a lovely thought! I would bring my 70-200mm 2.8, 100mm for close ups (cant get enouh) & a wide angle. I have the 14-24 or 16-35 on my wishlist!

  753. 753

I would love to be transported to my parents home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I currently live in St. Louis so I would LOVE the change of scene. I would take my 50mm that lives on my camera and is my lightest fastest lens. I would take a 24-70 to take some wide landscape shots – especially sunset over the Choptank River. And then maybe my 300mm to capture some wildlife.. blue herons, wood ducks etc… But I’d mostly use my 24-70 to get some great pictures of my parents who have been married 44 years and deserve to get some great couple shots (and, of course, some with the grandkids).

  754. 754

just “liked” shootsac on FB…. If I don’t win I think I need one of these bags!

  755. 755

If I could be transported anywhere in the world it would have to be heaven so see my parents one last time. MY mother dies 8 years ago and my dad died 5 years later almost to the date. If I had the lens I would take the Canon 50mm 1.2, 24-70 and a macro. I only have one photo of my parents ( they were divorced when I was very little) together that was taken when I was a baby. I wold love to get at least one more photo of both of them as I miss them something awful.

I would love to go to New Zealand. I’m not exactly sure why, but I have been intrigued with it ever since the movie Lord of the Rings. It has such beautiful scenery and I am sure that the plant and bird life would be quite different from what I usually see here in Florida. I would take the Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM, Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Thanks for the chance to win a Shootsac :-)

I hope I’m not breaking the rules but I love shooting people, not places and my dad passed away over 10 years ago before I became interested in photography. If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go back to the house I grew up in, with my dad there doing all the things he loved to do that has inspired me so much in my present life. (he also loved photography). I would shoot him in his garden and his workshop. Shoot him with my girls, who are now teenagers because before he passed away he loved playing with them. I’d use my 50mm f/1.4 to capture his face, my 28-75mm f/3.5 for general shooting. Since those are the only two lenses I own I don’t know what the 3rd lens I’d use but I’ve alway dreamed of owning the 70-200mm f/2.8! Thank you.

I’m not a pro. Just shooting photos with passion. When the photo makes my loved ones delight and praise how nice are the photos. I feel complete and satisfied! :) ain’t the world should be simple as that?
