GIF-TY is a Polaroid camera which prints flipbook animations

What do a Polaroid camera, GIF file, and a Zero-ink printer have in common? Well, the answer is the GIF-TY camera, of course. Student Jiho Jang has created a Polaroid-style camera, which can turn records short clips in burst-shot mode, and then prints the whole deal on Z-ink paper, in order to create memorable flipbook animations.

NASA unveils 6,000-mile 19-gigapixel Long Swath panorama image

NASA has taken everyone by surprise once again with the launch of a gigantic panorama image, measuring 19.06-gigapixels. It has been called “The Long Swath” and it has been captured in roughly 20 minutes, by the Landsat Data Continuity Mission satellite, orbiting Earth at an altitude of 438 miles at speeds of 17,000 mph.

Mount July filters campaign goes live on Kickstarter

A couple of Stanford University students, Olivia Vagelos and Martin Bush, have begun a Kickstarter project consisting of multi-color graduated filters for SLR lenses. The Mount July filters can be also attached to any 52mm and 58mm lenses, in order to provide beautiful Instagram-like effects, but with endless creative possibilities.
