Last weekend I got to see my youngest sister get married. It was such a fun, festive event. I took photos all day in the “bridal” getting ready suite. And then put my camera away. So unless the wedding photographers allow me to post a few of their photos here, you may not get to see the actual wedding. I may just have to send them an email… My “flower” girls were up till midnight dancing – and they truely looked like princesses.
(photo stats: all shot with my new Canon 5D Mark II and the 35L lens. Some used the 580ex II flash but many were natural light)
All shots edited with Color Burst Photoshop Actions from the MCP Complete Workflow set. Skin Cast Blast from MCP Magic Skin Set, MCP Touch of Light/Touch of Darkness and the MCP Eye Doctor were used in some photos. Photos all displayed using the Magic Blog It Boards Set 1 and 2.
Here are some details from the hospitality suite.
And some more details and getting ready shots. My sister (the bride) is in the left hand bottom corner on this one. And guess who is in the right hand corner? Me in a mirror… Pathetic.
Now for Jenna getting ready… The lash picture is one of my very favs!
And Ellie getting ready. Can you tell she LOVES to pose? Well not always but she sure did after getting all made up. Loving her eyes in these.
And though I had limited resources for places to take ring photos and did not have a macro lens on the trip, I still could not resist.
A few more shots. How cute is that cookie basket with all the cosmetics and hair stuff. Adorable. Probably yummy too but nobody wanted to eat it. And check out the flower girls. My twins are on the outside and their cousin who is actually a year younger is in between. Yep, she is way taller.
Thanks for looking. I would love to see what you think of these shots. I had fun. And even got an updo and makeup in between…

Love these Jodi! You did a great job, and you did great with the rings, especially with no macro! You had BETTER show a pic of you all done up!
Excellent stuff, that 35mm L is one of the last things on my “oh my gosh I want that lens” list. The shots of the kids are great – they always steal the show.
Great shots!
Ditto what other friends and admirers say ^ . . . truly ADORE-a-bill young ladies you’re raising! And I second Kristie’s motion: Bring on the up-do.
These are beautiful! I can imagine many of them in your sister’s wedding album. Hope you can get some pictures from the rest of the wedding! Beautiful work!
Your work is amazing and your pictures are just beautiful! I love them! The wedding was beautiful and Jenna and Ellie looked gorgeous!
Awesome shots! Looks like ya’ll had a great time! Question for you…do you bring everything into PS individually or do you use Lightroom or anything else first before running your actions? If you’ve posted your workflow somewhere please guide me to the link. Thanks so much!

Your girls look so darn cute! Hopefully we get to see how pretty mama ended up looking after her own makeover…
