Vintage Photoshop Actions with a Twist of Contrast & Color Pop

This Photoshop actions Blueprint Fan Share was submitted by Amber Snead, who wanted a higher contrast vintage look.

The step-by-step Blueprint:

  • This photo was underexposed and lacked contrast.  I started by using the Quickie Collection to address these issues:
    • Ran Extreme Fill Flash action to brighten the entire photo
    • Used Color Flair – this action lifted the midtones and also added definition and light color pop
    • To add a small amount of dimension in the midtones I used the defog action, Light Fog Fixer.
  • Next I used the Complete Workflow, Touch of Color, to make the photo look even better before my last steps.

The first and most important itemt hat I would by is this lens. It is a 24mm f/2.8 lens. http://www.adorama.com/NK2428AFD.html Then, reflectors or backdrops would be nice. I do bereavement photography in hospital rooms, and I need a wide angle lens when there are large groups in these small rooms.I posted that I love the tutorials, and shared this on facebook.I love the trainings and the blogs. I love the information that is given by different photographers to give different ideas as to accomplish various things.Okay, and for another chance to win, I shared the contest on my facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/mcpfans?v=app_4949752878#!/I don’t twitter.
