It’s already time to recap week 3 and then move into week 4, where is the time going?
.
We have had another week of fabulous photos being added to the MCP Project 52, with so many wonderfully different interpretations of the theme Shades of Grey, it’s been really hard to choose our top ten. Keep reading to see which are the 10 photos we picked to showcase on the blog this week.
If you haven’t already – come join us! It’s never to late to join in, check out what you need to do here.
We’re putting together a FAQ thread to go on the Flickr MCP Project 52 page, where we hope to answer the questions that keep cropping up. We’d love to have your suggested questions for this thread so please pop over to Flickr or add them into the comments section for this blog post.

Week 4 starts now and runs from Saturday 22nd to Friday 28th January. The theme for Week 4 is “Soothing Repetition”. A nice abstract theme for you to use in a range of ways but if that one doesn’t appeal to you don’t worry you can submit any photo you like, as long as it was taken during the week 4 dates.
To launch week 4 here is my take on the theme Soothing Repetition, a little quiet time with my cat Coco listening to her soothing rhythmic purr.
The week’s featured photos were compiled by Rebecca Spencer. She’s from England and is the passionate hobbyist of our group. You can see more of Rebecca’s photos on her blog. Loves: Shooting photos of her wiggly pre-schooler Theo, Nikon, British humour and long, lazy summer days.

Is there a trick to taking pictures of smoke or steam? I have tried and it never turns out right.
Thank you Rebecca for choosing my image as one of your favorite 10, what a huge honor!!!!
Love this project, seriously! I still need to take my first photo but it will happen. Love the weekly roundup–such beautiful shots!
Wow, some amazing photos here. I could never try to narrow them down to just 10!
I studied many techniques to do the smoke photography and the best one I have found is photogavin on youtube. just search smoke photography and photogavin. he goes over taking the pictures and how to edited them. very informative.
Thanks for picking my smoke picture. It was so much fun to play around with. I am sure I will be experimenting more. 🙂
