Welcome to this week’s overview of the theme “darks and lights” where I’ll be highlighting just a very small sampling of the vast amount of fantastic photos submitted to our group pool. It is so great to see the number of members still growing; we’re at 3,100 now! And to think that the majority of those members regularly participate in the challenges is just fantastic.
Just a couple short weeks ago our lovely leader Jodi, launched the new MCP Fusion action set. It’s been a long wait but this action set is so worth it! For a little taster try the free MCP Mini Fusion set. If you are not yet a member of the MCP P52 now is a great time to join as there will be a giveaway of the new MCP Fusion action set to one lucky MCP Project 52 participant. Watch the Flickr group discussion board and this blog for more details in the coming weeks
Obviously this week’s theme was open to many different interpretations and it is with great pleasure that I get to present ten images that caught my attention. (Now that sounds so simple put into just the one sentence doesn’t it? In reality you have no idea how long I agonized over these choices. It wasn’t easy, especially for a procrastinator like me). If you’ve been featured this week one of the moderators will be adding the I’ve Been Featured badge into the comments for your Flickr photo. Feel free to take this badge and use it on your blog, Facebook etc. And everyone who joins the MCP Project 52 is entitled to use the ‘I’m a Participant’ badge, grab the code and use as you’d like.

OK here we go with the recap of week 11:
Love in a dark place - Aechempati
Where's my milk? - by Kim Smith-Cromer
Morning - ElleSnaps
Passing of spring rain - Rockin' pixels
Light - Snowwhite Photography
Laundry Instructions – Kristy Mapp
Spice – Andrea Thomas
Pearls – Kelly Coultas
And that last image is a nice lead into week 12 which is one for all the girls: From the Jewellery Box. I look forward to see what you all come up with. Remember capture dates need to be between 19th and 25th of March. Here’s mine, in honour of my little girl, who is so not her mother’s daughter. I have no idea how I ended u with such a girly girl for a daughter.
This week’s feature photos were compiled by Marieke Broekman, who is Dutch but has made her life in New Zealand. She’s a Nikon girl and on the brink of realizing a venture that she aspires will one day combine her two greatest passions: photography and mixed media art. She shares her life with her 2 children and you can see more of her work on her (admittedly currently rather sadly neglected) blog.
