Looks like there have been a lot of people this week with their eyes cast upward. Who knew that something we often take for granted because it is in our life every day could have so many different ‘looks’. And that’s just the actual sky in all it’s natural glory. There were also plenty of wonderful photos where the sky featured within the context of the image subject . Then there were images of people and animals with the name Sky(e) as well. I had a great but as usual difficult time picking out my favorite ten this week. If you click on the photo it will take you to the image so you can leave some love. Under the photos is a clickable link to the flickr stream of the photographer so it’s easy to see more of their work. Here they are, in no particular order:

And that brings us to week 32 already! We have chosen ‘My Favorite Time of Day’ as a theme. Your photo needs to be taken between Saturday 6 and Friday 12 August. I don’t know about you but am I so not a morning person. I really struggle getting out of bed and need to repeat the alarm at least 3 times. Yet my favorite part of the day is the morning, when the kids pile into bed with me for snuggles, stories and giggles. This was while on holiday with the cousins. It makes my heart sing every time I look at it.
This week’s feature photos were compiled by Marieke Broekman, who is Dutch but has made her life in New Zealand. She’s a Nikon girl dreaming of giving up her day job to realize her dream venture that she aspires will one day combine her two greatest passions: photography and mixed media art. She shares her life with her 2 children and 2 cats.
