My name is Violet and I blog over at Blythe Ponytail Parades, a compilation blog featuring my photography and progress with the business, food and crafts! I am an Indianapolis based photographer specializing in senior/portrait sessions, weddings and stylized sessions! Plus see me on Facebook here.
I wanted this shoot to have the feel of youth, and though some other interpretations used adults, I wanted my models to be young and look young. The story is so gripping and heart-wrenching partially because it all involves children. That’s what I really wanted to shine through this Hunger Games photo session. I wanted to show them in a light that would be realistic to such a scenario. Here we have Katniss, forced to brave and can keep her brave face when she has to, but she too is vulnerably and afraid. I wanted a wide array of emotions pouring out of this session. I couldn’t possibly have done it all without the help of Jean Loper Photography and Danielle. I hope you enjoy viewing as much I enjoyed photographing it! Also included are some behind the scenes (photographed by Jean Loper Photography) to get a better glimpse into how this session was created.
