Voigtländer Nokton 42mm f/0.95 is one of the fastest lenses for Micro Four Thirds.

This lens is one of the fastest ever released for MFT shooters. It features a focal length of 42.5mm and a large aperture of f/0.95. It is destined for portrait photographers who would like to add bokeh effects to their photography.

It is based on a selective aperture control mechanism, with the smallest aperture set at f/16. It is made out of 10 aperture blades and 11 elements divided into eight groups. However, the weight of the glass has not been decided yet, as the company may make some minor changes before launching this lens sometime in the summer of 2013.

The high-speed lens has a minimum focus distance of 23 centimeters and a filter size of 58mm. It will become available in black, however, the price is also yet to be determined. The Voigtländer Nokton 42mm f/0.95 measures 74.6mm and will become available only for Micro Four Thirds.

Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical VM features a small 49mm filter size and is aimed at M-mount cameras.

The new lens is an upgrade of the so-called “legendary” Nokton 50mm f/1.5 aspherical lens. Its focal length of 50mm combined with a fast aperture of f/1.5, are said to be enough to achieve “magnificent” pictures.

Voigtländer’s new glass is also smaller than its predecessor as it measures only 45.7mm. As a result, the lens can now focus at only 70 centimeters. Additionally, it features a filter size of just 49mm and is made out of six elements in five groups.

The Voigtländer Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical VM will become available in Silver and Black colors for M-mount cameras this summer. Its price and weight are currently unknown, but the company will update the details prior to the lens’ launch date.
