Firmware update 1.1 brings improved support for photographers using the Exposure Bracketing mode on the Nikon Coolpix P7700.

Nikon Coolpix P7700 firmware update 1.1 changelog

Nikon says that the firmware update 1.1 is available for download for all Coolpix P7700 users. The camera will have several of its bugs fixed, including an issue which did not allow photographers to use slower shutter speeds in combination with Exposure Bracketing.

The Nikon Coolpix P7700 firmware update 1.1 also cuts down the pause time between capturing photos when using Exposure Bracketing mode. Previously, photographers had to wait a “very” long time between shots when Auto Bracketing was set to the Exposure Bracketing position.

As stated above, lensmen will also get the opportunity of using shutter speeds slower than one second, when making use of Auto Bracketing’s Exposure Bracketing mode.

The third fix consists of a display accuracy improvement. The virtual horizon looks much more precise now, as it does a better job at showing the images in concordance with the position where the camera is directed.

Three is Nikon’s magic number for P7700 users

Unfortunately, these are all the fixes available in the Nikon Coolpix P7700 firmware update 1.1. This means that, if photographers noticed any other issues with the compact camera, then they would have to wait until the next upgrade.

However, the Japan-based company has not revealed whether or not it will continue to provide support for the P7700, therefore photographers are advised not to hold their breath over it.

The Nikon P7700 features a 12.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor, 28-200mm f/2-4 lens with 7.1x optical zoom, 3-inch 920K-dot tilting LCD screen, full HD video recording, RAW shooting support, and SD / SDHC / SDXC card slot.

Nikon Coolpix P7700 firmware update 1.1 is available for download at the digital camera’s official product page.
