The Micro Four Thirds system will come packed with a 16-megapixel image sensor, TruePic VI image processor, new autofocus system with Focus Peaking technology, enhanced five-axis stabilization technique, and a very fast top shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds.

The new image stabilization mechanism found in the Olympus E-P5 will allow the camera to detect any shaking, in order to keep the whole thing steady for improved photos in low-light conditions

Additionally, the TruePic VI processing engine will allow users to capture up to 5fps, while the integrated WiFi chipset will give photographers the chance to share and store their images on a mobile device.

It has been confirmed that Olympus said “no” to OLED technology, instead going for a 1,040K-dot LCD touchscreen.

Other information about the new mirrorless camera includes a hot shoe mount, which will support a VF-4 viewfinder by Epson, while its aforementioned touch-based display will be articulated.
