Full Olympus E-PL6 specs and photos leaked on the web

The full specs list and some photos of the Olympus E-PL6 have been leaked on the web, completing a series of recent hiccups surrounding the Japan-based company.

The Olympus E-P5 is just two days away of being announced. Its entire specifications sheet as well as photos have been uploaded on the internet by inside sources. They may be controlled leaks or they may be the result of the company’s mismanagement.

This is the Olympus E-P5 Micro Four Thirds camera. It will have a tilting display just like the PEN E-PL6. Both shooters will make an official appearance on May 10.

However, these alleged mistakes may not be controlled after all, since the full specs of another Olympus product have been shared on the web. As a result, we now know all the features of the Olympus E-PL6 camera, which should be unveiled sometime in the near future.

Olympus E-PL6 is bound to be introduced on the Japanese market soon. Sources say that the Micro Four Thirds camera will become available exclusively in Japan, in a situation similar to the E-PL1 one.

Full Olympus E-PL6 specs list now available online

Without further introduction, the PEN E-PL6 shooter will feature a 16.05-megapixel Live MOS image sensor, TruePic VI processor, Fast AF and Touch AF shutter, 3-inch 460K-dot tilting LCD screen, ISO range between 200 and 25,600, shutter speed between 1/4000 and 60 seconds, and a very fast release time.

The camera will come packed with 12 different Art filters, respectively six Effects.

It will support 1920 x 1080 at 30p video recording, time-lapse video mode, sensor-shift image stabilization technology, RAW shooting and editing support, 3D tracking autofocus, and continuous shooting mode of up to 8fps.

Olympus E-PL6 will support SD / SDHC / SDXC storage cards, as well as the WiFi-ready Eye-Fi cards. It measures 110.5 x 63.7 x 38.2mm, while weighing 325 grams.

The Black and White versions of the Olympus E-PL6 have been leaked as well. The Micro Four Thirds camera and its interesting design can be seen from the front and from the back.

Olympus E-PL6 rumored release and announcement dates leaked, too

It will be released in Black, Red, Silver, and White colors. The Olympus E-PL6 release date is June 2013, while announcement is slated for May 10, during the same event as the E-P5.

Two of the colors can be seen in the leaked photo of the Micro Four Thirds camera, while the other two remain hidden to our eyes.

The manufacturer will also supply some accessories, including the VF-4 external viewfinder and an underwater case with a depth rating of 45 meters.
