Fujifilm has begun teasing its X-mount entry-level camera, which is rumored to be released this summer along with a new pair of lenses.

Just like Sony fans, Fujifilm X-mount adopters want cheaper, yet more powerful cameras to capture the most important moments of their lives. However, both Sony and Fujifilm are delaying the launch of such inexpensive cameras, which may affect future sales, analysts believe.

Fujifilm X-mount entry-level camera spotted into the hands of a company representative

A Fujifilm representative is showing off a big smile, while holding an upcoming camera in his hands. The photo has been taken by CyberPhoto, a Swedish photography-related blog, that received an exclusive insight into the company’s next products.

The manufacturer’s representative was flaunting a new X-series device with a brand new 55-200mm lens mounted on it. It is said that the new optic is made out of high-quality materials and it feels very solid. Additionally, it captures sharp imagery, just like Fujifilm promised when it unveiled it in mid-April.

Photo has been intentionally blurred and Adobe’s deblurring filter would not do us much good

Unfortunately, the Swedish website has said that it is not allowed to reveal the identity of the new model, nor its body type. This means that we are going to have to wait and see whether this is a compact or an interchangeable lens camera.

However, the Sweden-based blog has confirmed that more information will be disclosed sometime in the neighboring future. Even if we use Adobe’s new deblurring tool, it is unlikely that the Camera Share Reduction filter will clarify the image, so that we would have to wait until the summer to get a good look at the camera.

New Fujinon 27mm f/2.8 coming this summer, 56mm f/1.2 next year

Thankfully, the website has revealed additional details about the lens lineup. It seems like the recently-announced Fujinon 55-200mm will be released this summer, while the Fujinon 27mm f/2.8 pancake lens will follow soon. Moreover, the Fujinon 56mm f/1.2 optic is said to be scheduled for a release date in early 2014.

This means that more data will show up in the following months, when Fujifilm fans will learn more about the future of the X-series and the next-gen X-mount entry-level camera. Either way, the device is expected to be cheaper compared to its peers, so stay tuned to find out how much cheaper it will be.
