Kodak has launched three new PixPro compact cameras, called FZ151, FZ51, and FZ41, after yesterday’s formal announcement of the PixPro AZ521.
Kodak is going through a better period than last year as the company has begun emerging out of bankruptcy. Just a few hours ago, it has decided to reveal a powerful bridge camera with a 52x optical zoom lens. The PixPro AZ521 has not come alone, as the device has been joined by the FZ151, FZ51, and FZ41 compact shooters.
The three cameras are a part of the “Friendly Zoom” series, while the AZ521 is a part of the “Astro Zoom” range. “Friendly” is aimed at beginner photographers and provides smaller zooms, while “Astro” is intended for enthusiasts with a passion for long zooms.
Entry-level Kodak PixPro FZ41 features 16-megapixel sensor and 4x optical zoom lens
The first shooter that has been presented is the Kodak PixPro FZ41. It features a 16-megapixel CCD 1/2.3″-type image sensor, 2.3-inch LCD screen, 720p HD video recording, and digital image stabilization (DIS) support.
Kodak PixPro FZ41 price has been set at $69.99. It is worth noting that the point-and-shoot camera features a 4x optical zoom lens providing a 35mm equivalent of 27-108mm.
Kodak PixPro FZ51 provides 28-140mm lens and digital image stabilization technology
Second comes the Kodak PixPro FZ51, which comes packed with the same 16-megapixel CCD sensor, 2.7-inch LCD, 720p video capturing, and DIS specs.
The design is as sleek as it can get and the difference between the FZ51 and the FZ41 is that the former features a 5x optical zoom, provided by a 28-140mm lens for the 35mm format equivalent. Its price is also higher, standing at $79.99.
Kodak PixPro FZ151 comes with 3-inch screen, 15x zoom lens, and optical image stabilization
The final camera is the so-called Kodak PixPro FZ151. This one is for people looking for more advanced shooters that retain a compact form factor. It features the very same 16MP sensor and it can only record 720p videos, but it comes packed with optical image stabilization technology.
This new device also sports a bigger 3-inch LCD screen and a larger 900mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, while a 15x optical zoom lens will allow users to get closer without going a step further. The optic offers a 35mm equivalent of 24-360mm and the whole package will cost only $149.99.
Kodak PixPro FZ151, FZ51, and FZ41 availability information
