DxO Optics Pro 8.3 software update released for download

DxO Labs has released the DxO Optics Pro 8.3 software update, in order to add support for GoPro Hero and Samsung NX cameras, as well as some Android and iOS smartphones.

DxO Optics Pro is an established editing tool. However, its popularity is one the rise, following Adobe’s decision to move almost everything into the cloud. Unlike Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5 is a standalone app, but this has not stopped DxO Labs’ software from gaining more traction.

Now that the company has more followers, it appears that it is working harder to ensure that a huge number of devices are supported by its image processing engine. After several minor updates, a bigger one has just been released and it brings support for several shooters.
