Two Sony NEX-5T photos and a few shots of accompanying E-mount lenses have been leaked on the web ahead of the products’ official announcements.
Sony will reshape its digital camera series beginning this month. A lot of cameras and lenses are rumored to be announced by the end of the month and it seems like the NEX-5R replacement is one of them.
Sony NEX-5T camera, Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS and 18-105mm f/4G PZ OSS lenses show up on the web
Despite the fact that the most exciting product launches consist of the DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 lens-camera modules and the full frame E-mount shooter, the Sony NEX-5T is also on its way and it is coming alongside new optics.
Since there are only a few days left until the company’s alleged event, the Sony NEX-5T photos have been leaked on the web. The list of disclosures also includes the new E-mount Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS and 18-105mm f/4G PZ OSS lenses.
Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS and 18-105mm f/4G PZ OSS optics to support Sony’s E-mount APS-C cameras
Both of the aforementioned optics will come packed with Optical SteadyShot technology, Sony’s version of built-in image stabilization, which compensates for hand tremors.
The Zeiss 16-70mm f/4 ZA OSS is rumored to feature a 55mm filter diameter and to cost more than $1,000. Meanwhile, the video-centered 18-105mm f/4G PZ OSS will sport a 77mm filter diameter but its price tag remains unknown to the public.
Black version of Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens to be introduced soon
It appears that Sony will make the fans’ dreams come true with the launch of a black 50mm f/1.8 lens. It will provide a 35mm equivalent of 75mm, just like the silver version, which is available for $298 at Amazon.
It is worth noting that the 16-70mm and the 18-105mm lenses will provide a 35mm equivalent of 24-105mm and 27-157.5mm, respectively.
Leaked Sony NEX-5T photos have not revealed any extra specifications
Sony NEX-5T specs will not be very different when compared to those of the NEX-5R. The camera will sport the same 16-megapixel sensor, as the company has made only minor changes to it.
WiFi will be there, as expected, while NFC technology will be added into the mix alongside full HD video recording at 60p. For now, the NEX-5R can be purchased for $498 at Amazon.
More details will be reveled in the near future so stay tuned to see whether or not the rumor mill will get it right once again.
