A new Pentax K-3 photo has been leaked on the web, revealing a never-before-seen side of the upcoming DSLR camera.
At first, the rumor mill was just mentioning the Pentax K-3. It was supposed to be a DSLR camera with unimpressive specs, such as a 20-megapixel APS-C sensor.
Shortly after that, some of the device’s actual specs have showed up online from a more reliable source.
It did not take too long for the first shot of the camera to appear on the web, but photographers have not been stunned by the design, nor by anything else.
New Pentax K-3 photo leaked online, reveals bulky body
Well, industry watchers will certainly be surprised now, as a new Pentax K-3 photo has appeared online and it surely shows a different face of the apparatus.
The perfect word to describe the DSLR is “bulky”. It is certainly big and, although it is not as huge as a medium format camera, its design is reminiscent of such a device.
Enormous pentaprism and different AF / MF lever
The pentaprism on the K-3 could be immense, as it looks like it is bigger than the one found in the K-5 II / K-5 IIs.
Another change consists of the AF / MF button, which includes only these options.
Some Pentax shooters have an AF-S / AF-C / MF switch and it seems like the company will ditch this idea in its next-generation APS-C DSLR.
Pentax K-3 DSLR camera to feature 24-megapixel sensor and Shake Reduction technology
On a previous basis, the Pentax K-3 specs list consisted of a 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor without an anti-aliasing filter, Prime III image processor, and an optical viewfinder with 100% coverage and 0.95x magnification.
The DSLR camera will also support Shake Reduction technology to stabilize the camera, LCD screen, 27 aufotocus points, and continuous shooting mode of up to 8.5 frames per second.
Furthermore, the shooter will be able to record full HD video and the total weight of its body will reach 800 grams. As for the price, it should stand at $1,299.99.
