A new Sony A7 and A7R rumor is circling around the web revealing that the cameras will be priced at much lower levels than originally thought.

A lot of photographers have grown tired waiting for Sony to launch its new digital camera lineup. However, they should be patient as good things are on their way. The A3000 is just a minor glimpse of what is ahead for E-mount users, as the company is working on two NEX mirrorless cameras with full frame image sensors.

Leaked information about the two shooters is pointing to a launch by the end of October. Previously, sources were not sure whether or not both are coming this month, but now it appears that things are settled: Sony will announce two NEX-FF cameras in October.

Furthermore, people familiar with the matter have revealed the retail names of the two devices: Sony A7 and A7R. The former is the entry-level model, while the latter is the higher-end version.

They were believed to become available for $2,000 and $3,000, respectively. This has not sparked any fears into Canon and Nikon, but the two digital imaging giants will certainly think twice from now on, as the rumors were false and the two devices will be actually released at lower prices.

Sony E-mount is about to get a lot more interesting. Two cameras with full frame sensor, A7 and A7R, are rumored to be announced soon and released for amazingly-low prices.

Sony A7 body-only version to retail for only $1,600

According to the latest batch of information, the Sony A7 price will stand at a staggering $1,600 for body-only. Moreover, its kit lens will be a 28-70mm optic and the package should not cost more than $2,000.

This type of aggressive pricing has been seen with the launch of A3000, which can be purchased for merely $398 with an 18-55mm lens, courtesy of Amazon. Either way, the A7 should feature a 24-megapixel sensor among others.

Sony A7R price rumored to stand a little over $2,000

Unfortunately for Canon and Nikon, this is not all. The bigger and better Sony A7R will feature a price just over $2,000 and it will near $3,000 only when purchased with a lens kit.

It is worth reminding that the A7R is rumored to feature a 36-megapixel sensor, an impressive resolution. The 36.3-megapixel Nikon D800E body-only is available for $2,996.95 at Amazon, which is $303 less than the launch price of $3,299.95.

NEX-FF cameras to be weathersealed

Beside the price surprises, it appears that Sony has one more ace up its sleeve: both the A7 and A7R will be weathersealed. This could help photographers who like to go out to shoot even when the rain is pouring.

Nevertheless, users who were hoping that the Olympus partnership would bring on-sensor 5-axis image stabilization to the Sony cameras will be disappointed to hear that this technology will not be available in the two cameras.

These details will become official soon therefore potential customers should hang in there just a little longer.
