The government may be shut down, but the MCP Photography and Editing Challenges have reopened for business! We apologize for our absence; however, life’s tedious details got in the way.
In case you forgot, the photo editing challenges give you a chance to edit other photographer’s images, share them for critique, and see how others edit the same photographs. Participation allows you to practice editing, learn how to give constructive criticism, and watch what steps or Photoshop actions and Lightroom presets are used in various edits in a stress-free environment.
This week’s edit photo is of our very own, Jodi Friedman’s beautiful daughter. Thank you to Jodi for allowing us to use this photo. You can see the original on the challenge page, HERE.
While it may be hard to improve upon the perfection and beauty of this stunning photo, several of members of the group have shared great edits. Here are a few of the many favorites:
Edited by Amanda Marlow Johnson
Edited by KellyNelson Klos using Newborn Necessities
Edited by Anita Noon using Enlightened Presets
Thank you to everyone who participated; we enjoyed seeing your take on the challenge.
Join us to edit the bi-weekly photos. There’s one more week left for this one. The current challenges are linked at the top of the group. Remember, you can also ask for critique on your edit.
If you have an idea on how you’d edit the image below, or want to see and learn what others did, JOIN US HERE.
If you did not catch the photography challenge last week, it continued this week with the subject of signs. The photo challenge is a great way to reach outside the box and work hard. You have the support of a large group of photographers who can assist you and give you feedback as you work on specific themes and skills. We loved seeing so many great photos. Here are a few we wanted to feature, but make sure to check the album on the group page for more.
