The Nikon Coolpix AW120, P600, P340, S9700, and S9600 compact cameras have all had their names registered in Indonesia and could be announced at CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2014.

It appears that someone is keeping a close eye on digital camera manufacturers in Indonesia. The Fujifilm X-T1 name has showed at an agency which makes sure that companies announce their intention to launch WiFi-enabled products on the market.

Fuji’s first weatherproof mirrorless camera is expected to become official on January 28 with a set of interesting features. Roughly two weeks later, the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2014 will open its doors to visitors in Yokohama, Japan.

The CP+ Show is one of the biggest digital imaging-related events and companies are usually very active and they introduce new gear. Nikon is very likely to announce several Coolpix compact cameras in mid-February as someone has spotted the AW120, P600, P340, S9700, and S9600 models on the official website of one of Indonesia’s regulatory agencies.

Nikon Indonesia is aiming to register five new cameras, three of them made in this Asian country and the remaining two made in Japan.

The Coolpix AW120, S9700, and S9600 will be manufacturer in Indonesia, while the Coolpix P600 and 340 will see the daylight in Nikon’s home country.

Unfortunately, the regulatory agency has not leaked any specifications, prices, or release dates. However, they should be very expensive and will probably be revealed at the CP+ 2014 event.

The Nikon Coolpix AW120 will most likely replace the AW110, a waterproof compact camera which has been announced last January during CP+ 2013.

This rugged shooter features a 16-megapixel camera, ISO of up to 1,600, 28-140mm lens, 3-inch OLED screen, full HD video recording, and a built-in GPS.

On the other hand, the Coolpix P340 is succeeding the P330, that has become official in March 2013 as a compact shooter with RAW image file support.

The Coolpix P600 is substituting the P520, while the S9700 and S9600 are here to take over from the S9500 and S9400. This trio has also been unveiled at CP+ 2013, so it is no surprise that their successors will go live in the same place.
