The Fujifilm X-T1 price is the latest piece of information regarding the weathersealed mirrorless camera to be leaked on the web alongside some new photos.

It used to be like “not a single week goes by without a Fujifilm X-T1 rumor”, but then it turned into “not a single day goes by without one”. However, now it has completely become “not a single hour goes by without a rumor about Fujifilm’s upcoming weathersealed camera”.

This is the hottest topic of the digital imaging world and it has been fueled by the Japanese company’s teaser of the next X-mount shooter, while culminating with more and more sources who are leaking a plethora of details about it.

Fujifilm X-T1 price rumored to be bigger than $1,700

After getting a hold of some of its specifications, the Fujifilm X-T1 price is the next in line to be leaked. According to inside sources, the mirrorless camera will retail for 180,000 Japanese yens.

This amount is valid only for the body-only version and it translates into $1,730. Unfortunately, this contradicts everything that the rumor mill has said about the price, which has been supposed to fit between that of the X-Pro and X-E series.

If it were to trust these new rumors, then the new Fuji X-T1 would become the most expensive camera of the X-series. Apparently, it is scheduled to become available on the market in mid-February and an XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 kit lens will be put at photographers’ disposal.

Newly-leaked Fuji X-T1 specs and photos confirm the presence of dual SD card slots

Some new Fujifilm X-T1 specs have also been unearthed by people familiar with the company’s affairs. They are claiming that the weatherproof shooter has the best electronic viewfinder on the market, as it provides a 0.77x magnification rate, while the Olympus OM-D E-M1’s viewfinder provides 0.74x magnification.

It is based on OLED technology and sports 2.36-million dots, along with a 0.005-second lag. As for the autofocus speed, it is said to stand at 0.08-second, which is on-par with the X-E2, not quicker, as previously rumored.

The maximum ISO sensitivity stands at 51,200, therefore low-light performance should be really good.

One of the best things about the X-T1 is that it actually features dual SD card slots, just like the rumor mill has initially said, albeit saying that this is not true at a later time.

In a leaked photo of the camera, the two slots are visible, therefore this device will certainly appeal to wildlife and sports photographers, who will also benefit from the 8fps continuous shooting mode and the additional battery grip.

High-end mirrorless camera for professional photographers with a lot of money in their pockets

The remainder of Fuji X-T1’s specifications list remains unchanged. It will sport a 16-megapixel X-Trans CMOS II sensor, tilting screen, and built-in WiFi.

The three dials placed on top of the camera are for setting the exposure compensation, shutter speed, and ISO, respectively.

It seems like an 18-135mm lens will go on sale alongside the new X-series shooter. It is weathersealed, too, but its price remains unknown.

This camera is packed with great technology and amazing features, but the price may be too big, especially when you can buy a full frame mirrorless camera for less money. However, we should wait for Fujifilm to make it all official on January 28 before drawing any conclusions.
