Sony NEX-6 is rumored to be replaced by the same camera which will substitute the NEX-7 at CP+ 2014.

A complete specifications list is not available, yet, but inside sources have revealed some information about the new Sony camera. First of all, it will become the flagship APS-C E-mount shooter.

Furthermore, the device is not only replacing the NEX-7, but the NEX-6 as well. Launched at Photokina 2012, the NEX-6 is placed below the camera introduced in August 2011. However, it does offer an interesting set of features, such as a higher ISO sensitivity, more focus points, and shorter booting time.

Sources familiar with the PlayStation maker’s business have added that the shooter will be priced at €800 in Europe. Shipping will begin in several markets across the world as of April, but prices will vary depending on region.

At the time of writing this article, Amazon Germany is selling the NEX-7 for about €750, while the US branch is asking $909, so the replacement could cost roughly $950 stateside. Please note that the prices of the NEX-7 may change in the meantime.
