Photos and details of the HD Pentax DA AF Rear Converter 1.4x AW, Ricoh WG-20, and Ricoh WG-4 GPS rugged cameras have been leaked on the web ahead of their announcement.

With the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2014 fast-approaching, we are expecting a number of products to be leaked online before they become official.

Toward the end of January 2014, sources familiar with the matter have revealed an image of the HD Pentax DA AF Rear Converter 1.4x AW.

A similar shot has just showed up on the web from a more trusted source, which has been right multiple times in the past. It seems like this accessory will be unveiled at the CP+ 2014, along with many other devices.

The list might include a Pentax K-60 DSLR that will replace the K-50. However, no photo of this camera has showed up on the web.

The situation is rather different when it comes to the so-called Ricoh WG-20, as this device has been spotted in the newest image of the aforementioned converter.

Ricoh WG-20 rugged camera to replace Pentax WG-10 at CP+ 2014

According to people familiar with the company’s business, the Ricoh WG-20 is a rugged camera that will replace the Pentax WG-10.

Ricoh has bought Pentax back in 2011. At the CP+ 2013, the company has launched the WG-10, a ruggedized camera for people who embark on dangerous adventures oftentimes.

The new WG-20 compact camera is rumored to come packed with “super-resolution technology” that supports a so-called “digital microscope” mode. Furthermore, it can take pictures underwater for 2 hours in a row at depths down to 10 meters.

Many have feared that the Pentax brand will die soon after Ricoh has purchased it and the WG-20 is the first evidence to suggest this fact. Moreover, the WG-20 is not the sole ruggedized shooter bearing the Ricoh brand.

Ricoh WG-4 and Ricoh WG-4 GPS ruggedized shooters coming next week, too

According to these leaked photos, the Ricoh WG-4 and WG-4 GPS cameras will also sport the name of Pentax’s parent company.

The WG-4 and WG-4 GPS will replace the WG-3 and WG-3 GPS, which have been launched alongside the aforementioned WG-10 and bear the Pentax brand at last year’s CP+ event.

Both upcoming models are waterproof down to 14 meters for up to a couple of hours. The only difference between them is the presence of the GPS, which provides pressure, depth / altitude, and direction information in real-time.

The CP+ 2014 opens its doors to visitors next week, so stick with us as these devices are expected to be announced soon.
