When exporting a RAW file from Adobe Lightroom to another editing program, photo editors are required to convert the file to other formats, such as JPEG and TIFF. This action drastically reduces the image quality, therefore it is not one of the most welcomed parts of editing.

DxO Labs has the answer for this as its program has just been integrated into Adobe Lightroom. RAW photos cataloged in Lightroom can now be transferred to DxO Optics Pro 9.5 for processing purposes and they can then be returned to Lightroom in their original format.

This is very useful as there will be no unnecessary image quality loss, allowing users’s photos to retain their high standards. As a result, Adobe Lightroom users can now take advantage of all the features provided by the DxO Optics Pro software.

New cameras from Panasonic, Sony, Nikon, and Canon supported by the latest DxO Optics Pro version

The changelog of the DxO Optics Pro version 9.5 also includes support for four new cameras, that is Panasonic GH4, Sony A6000, Nikon 1 V3, and Canon PowerShot G1X Mark II.

This leads to 165 new camera and lens modules added to a catalog standing at more than 18,000 camera-lens combinations.

In addition, support for XMP standard has been improved in DxO Optics Pro 9.5, as metadata and other details are maintained during file transfer.

DxO ViewPoint 2.16 update also released

DxO Labs has announced the availability of the DxO ViewPoint 2.16 update, that provides improvements when it comes to automatic corrections. This software can also be used as a plugin for other programs and it allows users to correct lens distortion among others.

Both updates can be downloaded from the company’s official website. New users can try out the programs for free for a period of 30-days.

It is worth noting that the company has reduced the prices of its software, as DxO Optics Pro 9 costs $99, while DxO ViewPoint can be purchased for $49 until June 15.
