The Royal Observatory Greenwich has revealed the winners of the “Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2014” photo contest. The grand prize winner is UK-based photographer James Woodend, who has submitted a spectacular image of Aurora Borealis dancing above Iceland’s Vatnajokull Glacier.

The talk of the town is suggesting that two new Fujifilm flash guns are reportedly in the works and that they will be unveiled in the near future. Sony medium format camera set to be released within 12 months
Zeiss and Sony are rumored to expand their partnership into other areas of the digital imaging industry. According to the rumor mill, a Sony medium format camera is in the works and Zeiss is giving a helping hand. The shooter will be introduced in 2015, when it is said to be joined by a Mamiya medium format rangefinder as well.
Samsung NX Achromatic mirrorless camera coming in 2015
The Leica Monochrom is rumored to get a competitor towards the beginning of 2015. It appears that Samsung will modify its NX300M mirrorless camera in order to capture only black-and-white photos. The result will be called Samsung NX Achromatic and will feature a 20.3-megapixel sensor without a Bayer array and anti-aliasing filter.
Canon 1D X successor now rumored to be announced in 2015
A Canon representative has revealed that the company’s fans will hear more news about big-megapixel and mirrorless cameras in the near future. GoPro Hero4 Black and Silver unveiled along with low-end Hero

The Black Edition is here with a proper 4K video recording mode, while the Silver Edition comes packed with a touchscreen.
