Nikon Coolpix L31 and L32 compact cameras become official

Nikon has officially announced a couple of compact cameras, called Coolpix L31 and Coolpix L32, which were not among the list of shooters recently registered on the website of a Russian agency.

The rumor mill has said that Nikon will have a busy period before the start of CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2015. Several names of Coolpix cameras have showed web on a Russian agency’s website, but the brand new L31 and L32 have not been mentioned on that list.

Despite their omission, the Coolpix L31 and L32 are now official and they will become available on the market in the near future for undisclosed prices.

Nikon Coolpix L31 and L32 cameras revealed with nearly identical features

Nikon has expanded its Coolpix L-series with two new models. The two share a similar specs lists with few differences between them.

The L32 comes with a 20.1-megapixel 1/2.3-inch-type CCD image sensor and a 3-inch 230K-dot LCD screen. It will be released in Black, Red, and Silver colors.

On the other hand, the L31 features a 16.1-megapixel 1/2.3-inch-type CCD sensor and a 2.7-inch 230K-dot display. This model will become available in the same colors as its sibling plus a special Purple flavor.

Although they are both powered by a couple of AA batteries, these two compacts will offer distinct battery lives. The Coolpix L32 supports up to 320 shots, while the Coolpix L31 offers up to 200 shots.

As stated above, the Nikon Coolpix L31 and L32 come packed with similar features. The list includes a 5x optical zoom lens that offers a 35mm focal length equivalent of 26-130mm and a maximum aperture of f/3.2-6.5.

These compact cameras are capable of recording 720p HD videos. In the photo department, users can capture images with ease using the Scene Auto Selector.

Additionally, the Coolpix cameras come with Special and Quick Effects, such as Nostalgic Sepia, Fisheye, and Miniature Effect. The L32 offers eight special effects and four quick ones, while the L31 comes with five special effects and seven quick ones.

Unfortunately, Nikon has not revealed the release date and the price details of the Coolpix L32 and L31 cameras. However, the compacts are expected to become available within the following weeks at fairly affordable prices. Stick us to find out the official availability information!
