The Canon 5Ds duo could replace the 5D Mark III next week as its NDA expires on February 6.

Canon 5Ds DSLRs to be announced on February 6 with 53-megapixel sensors

During the fall of 2014, a source said that Canon would reveal two big-megapixel DSLRs in the first quarter of 2015. More recently, an insider has said that they are coming this March.

Nevertheless, a trusted source, who has been right in the past, says that the NDA regarding these shooters will expire on February 6.

Moreover, the Japanese company is expected to hold a product launch event at the end of next week in order to reveal these shooters, which will both be called Canon 5Ds.

The source adds that their image sensors will have 53 megapixels, which is in line with other rumors saying that their sensors will offer a resolution of about 50 megapixels.

Their specs are unknown, but it is common knowledge that one of them will have an anti-aliasing filter and that the other one will not.

Canon 750D / Rebel T6i to be revealed during the same event

The list of expiring NDAs do not end with the 5Ds cameras. According to the same source, the Canon 750D / Rebel T6i will also become official during next week’s event.

This DSLR will employ a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, DIGIC 6 processor, 5fps continuous shooting mode, 19-point AF system, WiFi, NFC, Flicker Detection system, and a maximum ISO of 12,800.

An EOS 760D version of the same DSLR, featuring extra movie modes and a control dial on the back, has been mentioned recently, but this source has been unable to confirm the previous allegations.

Canon EOS M3 mirrorless camera is also coming next week

Canon will reveal its plans for the mirrorless camera sector, too. The EOS M3 is said to be announced on February 6 as its NDA is expiring.

Its specifications are unknown for now. However, more details could be leaked before the event.
