Nikon D7200 announcement to take place within three weeks

The Nikon D7200 announcement date is rumored to have been scheduled to take place before March 13, 2015.

Nikon was expected to replace the D7100 with the D7200 during the summer of 2014 or at least at Photokina 2014. In addition, the D400 should have succeeded the D300s a long time ago. However, photographers who want a more professional Nikon DSLR with a DX-format sensor are still waiting for the company to do something in this regard.

It appears that the time has finally come as the Nikon D7200 announcement date will take place within a few weeks. According to a trusted source, the camera’s launch event will take place before March 13, 2015.

There are lots of professional photographers who prefer using a DSLR camera with an APS-C-sized sensor instead of full frame or medium format cameras. Some reasons are costs, size, and weight, so digital imaging companies must supply such products for its user base.

While Canon has launched the flagship 7D Mark II at Photokina 2014 and the fate of the Nikon D300s replacement is still uncertain, Nikon has been asked to launch the D7200 and to include more pro-oriented features into this DSLR.

Following months of rumor and speculation, it appears that the camera is finally on its way. A trusted source is reporting that the Japan-based company will introduce the D7100 successor sometime within the next three weeks.

The Nikon D7200 announcement date is supposedly set to take place before March 13, 2015, which means that photographers have less than three weeks to wait before getting an official confirmation of the new DSLR.

The name of the camera has been registered on the agency of website of Novocert, a Russian regulatory agency, along with the 1 J5. The mirrorless camera is also said to be on the verge of its official announcement and to be capable of recording videos at 4K resolution.

When the some specs of the D7200 have been leaked, it has been said that the DSLR will employ a new 24-megapixel sensor, EXPEED 4 image processor, 51-point autofocus system, and full HD video recording at up to 60fps.

In addition, it should capture 120fps in 720p HD movie recording mode and up to 6fps in continuous shooting mode, while offering a buffer of 16 shots. However, it is unclear whether or not the D7100 successor will record 4K videos, like the 1 J5 mirrorless camera.

Nikon will also add WiFi into the D7200 and a tilting display on the back, just like you can find in the mid-range D750 full frame DSLR.
