New patent hints at Canon mirrorless camera with built-in EVF
Canon may be working on a new mirrorless camera, which would come packed with a sought-after feature: electronic viewfinder. One of the company’s patents is describing a Phase-Difference AF technology that would be used in Canon mirrorless camera with built-in EVF and in a Sony-like DSLR with translucent mirror.
Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens photos straight from CP+ 2015
Fujifilm is present at the CP+ 2015 event and the company has taken all of its unreleased products (which are present on the official X-mount roadmap) with it. Ricoh WG-5 GPS rugged camera launched with Mermaid mode
Ricoh has introduced some Pentax-branded products before CP+ 2015. It appears that the company has decided to focus on its brand as well, by announcing the Ricoh WG-5 GPS, a premium, rugged compact camera that replaces both the WG-4 and WG-4 GPS. The new shooter features an interesting photo mode, called Mermaid.
Nikon D810A unveiled as a DSLR for astrophotographers
The rumored Nikon D810A is now official as a modified D810 that is aimed at stargazers. This is the world’s first full frame DSLR camera for consumers which has been built for astrophotography. The DSLR comes with a new infrared cut filter, longer exposure modes, and other features designed for low-light photography.

Nikon has announced two new rugged compact cameras that belong to the Coolpix series. The Nikon Coolpix AW130 and S33 are official with weatherproof capabilities, as both of them are waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof. Ricoh returns with another event full of Pentax-branded product announcements. The new Pentax K-S2 has just become the world’s smallest weathersealed DSLR camera. Fujifilm is rumored to update its X-mount roadmap in the near future as part of the CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2015. The Fujifilm XF 120mm f/2.8 macro lens will be allegedly added to the company’s roadmap along with three other products. The 120mm f/2.8 would become second X-mount macro lens after the 60mm f/2.4 version.
