The first photos of the Fujifilm X-T10 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera have been leaked on the web before its announcement reportedly scheduled to take place on May 18.

The specifications, the price, and the launch event of this product have already showed up online, so all that was left was its photos. Well, you can scratch them off the list because the first Fujifilm X-T10 photos have now been revealed by a trusted source.

As expected, Fujifilm will no longer introduce the Silver version at a later date like it did with the X-T1. Instead, both the Black and Silver models will be unveiled at the same time and they will also be priced identically.

First Fujifilm X-T10 photos reveal the camera in Black and Silver versions

The Silver Graphite version of the Fuji X-T1 has been released after the introduction of the Black X-T1. Moreover, it was more expensive than its sibling and this fact has drawn some criticism from the company’s fans.

The cheaper version of the X-T1, called X-T10, will be announced in Silver and Black versions and they will have the same price, somewhere in the $700-$800 range, according to the rumor mill.

An unofficial confirmation is coming from the rumor mill, as trusted sources have leaked the first Fujifilm X-T10 photos. The cameras are indeed identical and they seem to have five dials, but one of them is not a P/A/S/M dial.

The leaked shots are revealing the design changes when compared to the X-T1. The electronic viewfinder is placed in the top middle section, and that is why the camera has been labelled as the “cheaper X-T1”.

X-T10’s top metallic part appears to be a lot bigger than the one on the X-T1. Another notable change is the grip, which is smaller on the X-T10.

Fujifilm X-T10 specs round-up

The new X-T10 will come packed with the same 16.3-megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor found in the X-T1. It will capture 8fps in continuous shooting mode and will offer a maximum ISO sensitivity of 51,200, just like the X-T1.

The Intelligent Hybrid AF system with 49 AF points will allow the camera to focus in only 0.08 seconds. The electronic viewfinder will have a resolution of 2.36-million dots, while the 3-inch tilting display will have a resolution of 920,000 dots.

Fujifilm’s upcoming mirrorless interchangeable lens camera will record full HD videos at up to 60fps and it will feature built-in WiFi as well as a built-in flash.

Among the photography gimmicks supported by the X-T10 we can find five auto bracket modes, +/- 3EV exposure compensation, time-lapse mode, and a timer, as revealed by a trusted source.

The shutter speed will range from 1/32000th of a second to 60 seconds. Its battery life will last for 350 shots on a single charge. The official announcement will most likely take place on May 18, so stay tuned for that!
