Nikon has updated its product advisory for the D750 regarding its shutter issue, stating that the problem is affecting models manufactured in a more extended period of time.

The Nikon D750, which is considered by many the true heir to the D700, has been unveiled at the Photokina 2014 event. Shortly after its shipping date, users discovered that the DSLR has a problem that leads to unnatural flare issues in their photos.

It did not take too long for the company to acknowledge the problem, as it all happened in January 2015. However, the problem persisted until July 2015, as the company was forced to identify all issues in this period of time.

Back in July 2015, Nikon said that affected models have a problem with the shutter and that they have been manufactured between October and November 2014. Well, the Nikon D750 service advisory hast just been updated and it seems like the problem persisted until June 2015.

Where to find the serial number of a Nikon D750.

Consumers who have a faulty D750 will have their camera repaired free of charge. This is valid even if the warranty is no longer valid, which is something that happens whenever a major recall is issued.

Usually, photographers will be directed to the nearest repair center. The company’s specialists will examine the camera, they will repair it, and users will be informed when they can come to pick it up.

It is worth noting that not all units are affected by this problem. However, if you purchased a D750 between October 2014 and June 2015, then there is a great chance that it has image shading issues caused by faulty shutter design.

Nevertheless, head over to the company’s website for the official Nikon D750 service advisory and check your serial number to see if your DSLR is affected or not.
