I love the concept of the My Beauty Campaign! Its wonderful to celebrate being ourselves and not conforming to the notion that everyone has to be a size 0 to be beautiful! Great idea! Thank you for the inspiration!

  3. Kelly @ Illustrations Photography on March 16, 2011 at 9:07 am

I LOVE this idea! It’s the reason that I got into and love doing boudoir! But this is a great way to reach all women and help them feel good about themselves!

I would love to win this, as it’s different than anything else anyone around here is using. Plus I just love to try new and exciting applications!

Being brand new in the business, the campaign would open up new avenues of clients. I would also give me the opportunity to brighten the lives of women, like me, who have busy schedules and may not take time to pamper and take care of themselves.

  9. Heidi on March 16, 2011 at 9:16 am

This is my passion. I tend to do mostly family sessions, but I always take a minute to pull mom aside and get some photos of just her. I want women to feel beautiful, royal. I had the honor of doing a shoot for my sister in law a few days after finding out she was cancer-free! Her hair was growing back, but that didn’t stop us from getting some gorgeous, beautiful shots! I can’t think of a better way to impact the women around me! I would be so privileged!!

  10. Julie Lewis on March 16, 2011 at 9:16 am

I think that this could benefit my studio because some women really need that extra boost of confidence to shine during their shoot – and this would make that confidence shine through

  11. Stacy on March 16, 2011 at 9:16 am

What’s NOT to love about this campaign? Almost every woman I meet hates pictures of herself. This is an amazing thing you are doing, and I would love to be a part of it.

  12. Kate Golden on March 16, 2011 at 9:18 am

I am so inspired by this campaign! It actually hits super close to home, as my father was a photographer and very seldom was he in a photograph. After he passed we had a total of five pictures of him. I vowed to never do that to my children but my size and lack of confidence has still held me back from getting on the other side of the camera. Every woman should have some gorgeous photos that they can be proud of and to make them feel amazing. I would love to be a part of that!

  13. Kirsten on March 16, 2011 at 9:19 am

I would love to feel like my photography goes beyond capturing a memory – but using it also to serve others. This would be the perfect opportunity to do that.

  14. CorriAnne on March 16, 2011 at 9:20 am

I’ve been working on getting a campaign set up- I think that with the media today we are faced with so much negativity. Hollywood says that if you’re not a size 0 with impossibly flawless skin and no laugh lines you’re just not beautiful(so sad) but I think that it’s time to capture the beauty of everyday women. We all deserve to have a picture that lets our beauty show. I’m just getting my business off the ground and winning this would propel me to the next level.

I agree that EVERY woman should have AT LEAST one photo of herself that she loves, and I agree with the woman in the video that wishes she had photos like this of her mom…This will make such a difference for women AND their families!

  17. Melissa Karlberg on March 16, 2011 at 9:24 am

What an awesome product. This is how I want all of my clients to feel, so it would be awesome to get more guidance!

  18. Kathy Hardy on March 16, 2011 at 9:24 am

I would love to win this!! The main reason is because just about every woman I know [including myself] always says “I am just not photogenic at all, please don’t take my picture”. This would be a way to change all of that! Thanks so much!!!

  19. Julie V. on March 16, 2011 at 9:25 am

This is the reason I love doing photography. I’ve seen women’s confidence go way up after they have had a great photo session and it really means a lot to me to know that I can positively impact a beautiful real woman in a very personal way.

  23. Chad Cook on March 16, 2011 at 9:28 am

I am impressed by the philosophy of this endeavor! I tend to find beauty in all things, but especially in all women. The twinkle in the eyes, the slight smile, the hair blowing erratically across the face. I aspire to shoot photographs that leave women feeling as beautiful as I see them. For the world to see them as they should. I think having a photography business that shows the beauty of everyday women would be a wonderful way to live my life!

  24. Emily on March 16, 2011 at 9:28 am

I’ve been formulating this type of campaign for middle school girls {and boys} for the past two years. Having battled anorexia {and still do every day}, body image is an issue that is very near and dear to my heart.

  25. Hannah on March 16, 2011 at 9:29 am

I love the concept of the beauty campaign. There’s a deep fundamental issue with how women view themselves (me included), and I hope to change that in my corner of the world.

  28. Ashlee F on March 16, 2011 at 9:33 am

I’ve been debating doing something like this since I started photography a few years ago, I only do photography part time {for now} and am not able to afford to buy a kit, but I would love to be able to make each woman feel beautiful! I know how hard the struggle can be, I have put on an extra 70lbs in the last few years that all started with one experience and the weight just kept coming. I’ve tried everything and struggle everyday to lose the weight. I am know what its like to have to stand in front of the camera and get your picture taken only to look at it and feel awful because of how I look and try to blame it on the angle it was shot or my shirt and then cry when no one is around because I am so embarrassed to admit that’s who I am now. Accepting who we are is one of the hardest struggles to overcome and I think that no matter what we look like we will always find a flaw in ourselves unless we learn to embrace who we are and love ourselves. I want to help women be able to look at a picture of themselves and think ‘wow, I am beautiful’ and finally realize what the rest of the world sees that they don’t! Winning this kit would help me do just that and start on my journey to make women all around me love who they are!

  34. Mackenzie on March 16, 2011 at 9:47 am

This would be so wonderful to win. I got the amazing free action on your site a few weeks ago and it is great. My pictures look so much better. I can only imagine how they would look with your actions. I also am in a job I hate, where I have no creative outlet and would love to be able to make profit off my photography work so I can do something I love.

  35. Rhonda O on March 16, 2011 at 9:50 am

What an inspiring way to empower woman! Since going back to college to become a personal support worker I have streamlined my photography business to focus mainly on boudoir photography. I photograph real woman with all their curves and cellulite. I take the shy stay at home mom who hasn’t been in a picture in years, and make her feel like a vixen for the day. For some reason woman have placed themselves last (mostly because of becoming a wife, mother, etc) and it’s time that we put ourselves back on top. If we can boost a woman’s confidence one portrait at a time, We know as a photographer, We’ve done our job.

I found out about this campaign a few months ago and was immediately inspired. So many women have self esteem problems, including myself, and I would never do a session of just myself. I’d feel so stupid. But, we need to see ourselves are more than just mothers or wives. We are beautiful as women. I would love some tools to better capture the beauty in women better and help with their self-esteem. It is something I need for my business as I feel strongly about mothers not doing enough for themselves.

  38. Jason on March 16, 2011 at 10:05 am

This is amazing timing. Though I know it’s a drawing and I might not win, this would be a great kit. I’ve just begun planning stages of doing boudoir photography. The reason something like this is a great idea is that no matter how beautiful a woman is, she always has her own personal hangups about her looks. A well-planned and successful photoshoot helps remind them of how beautiful they already are. That there is nothing they need to change to look, and more importantly, feel fantastic about themselves. Thanks for the opportunity.

  39. Amanda on March 16, 2011 at 10:07 am

I love the mission of this! I have been looking at joining for a while now and think that my business would be perfect for it!

  40. Becky on March 16, 2011 at 10:10 am

I am always the photographer and very seldom in pictures. I think it is because I am one that does not love her body right now. I just had twins 9 months ago and they are great willing subjects. But there are times that I think I should be in front of the camera with them instead of behind. Just so they have those memories. I want to do the same to other women also. I belong to a Mothers of Multiples group and I believe that we would all benefit. Thank you!

I’ve looked through the My Beauty Campaign before and am hoping to add this to my business this year. I feel it would be a perfect fit for my business. I work almost exclusively with military families, meeting an incredible variety of strong, inspiring women who often need to be reminded how fabulous they are.

  47. Maureen on March 16, 2011 at 10:36 am

Body image and self esteem are so important and supporting women who are of an average size and healthy lifestyle is a great way to move forward as a society. Size 00 to 2 should not be the standard of beauty. Marilyn Monroe wore dresses sized at 12-16, had breasts, hips and a Botticelli-esque physique which I think is the embodiment of womanly, indeed. I want to continue to offer women of all shapes and sizes the opportunity to feel beautiful, and being able to better myself as a photographer, and move my business forward too, is a great plus too 🙂

  48. Tina Dwyer on March 16, 2011 at 10:40 am

I would have loved something like this campaign when I was a young woman…I have multiple scares all over my body and hated the way I look…now I have many beautiful young women in my life and I want to inspire them to love themselves and see their unique beauty every time they look into a mirror…My business is to make people feel good about themselves and how they look…to reveal their true beauty…My Beauty Campaign would be a huge help in that!!!

It’s inspiring to see that someone is trying to show all women that they are beautiful. This could help my business because I always hear “I want to have pictures taken, but let me lose 10 more pounds.” It seems as if people are focused on the outer beauty, but never take a moment to realize their inner beauty and how that is reflected in their outer beauty. Being a part of this program would help me not only realize my own inner and outer beauty, but to help others recognize their own.

  51. Wendy Mayo on March 16, 2011 at 10:43 am

  56. Kelly Nelson on March 16, 2011 at 10:53 am

I love this idea, and have actually been trying to start something similar in my area. I’ve been thinking more along the lines of a “confidence photo party” where women and their friends would come together and learn some self confidence boosters and have great photos taken. This package would really help me kick-start this project. I’ve been a fan of MBC for a while and am excited to see her business exploding!

Awesome! Posted this on my Facebook page! Thanks Wendy Mayo for sharing it with me!! I love that we are getting back to the basic’s of REAL beauty! Every woman has self worth, we just need to find it! We lose ourselves in these magazines on shelfs, “we need to be skinny”, “we need to be perfect”…it’s so not true! You can be any size, and not perfect, to still be beautiful! Take advantage of this opportunity to help share what Worth and Beauty, we really have in ourselves!

What I like most about this campaign is it’s goal- not to gain a profit, but to give back. Women are held to such high standards, it’s easy to fall prey to the thought that we’re not good enough. This would help my business because it would enable me to give back exponentially more to women in my community, which is something I strive to do with every shoot.

  67. Erica on March 16, 2011 at 11:17 am

Love this! I try to make sure I get an individual picture of every woman when I am taking family pictures because so often, there are never any pictures of just mom! What an awesome thing! What a confidence booster for women!

  68. Chelsea Fitch on March 16, 2011 at 11:22 am

This is campaign is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I get so many women that put themselves down right before I start to push the shutter and it breaks my heart because what I see through my lens and after that shutter is pressed is so much beauty and love for my clients. This campaign would be amazing for my business because I just love to show my clients how beautiful they are and I would love to help promote this more widely especially in a community where everyone is trying to compare themselves to others. I’m just soooo sooo excited for this campaign!!!

  69. Chelsea Fitch on March 16, 2011 at 11:24 am

  70. Kimberly on March 16, 2011 at 11:32 am

I am so excited about this! This absolutely sums up what I really love about photography. I want to help all women see thier beauty and not insist they take their clothes off to do it. My favorite thing about photography is boosting a womans confidence. I love when she gets comfortable and starts hamming it up for the camera!

  71. michele abel on March 16, 2011 at 11:32 am

This is such a fabulous concept. I love the idea of women helping women, and it could open my business up in so many new ways. It is very exciting.

  72. Joy on March 16, 2011 at 11:47 am

Wow…………! What a great concept! I have noticed that when I photograph women, they tend to diminish themselves & be so hard on themselves about their looks. I have been trying to overcome this in several ways in my sessions, and this would enable me to do that in a bigger way & to REALLY make an impact on women’s lives. I would love to be know for this impact, and My Beauty Campaign would definitely help. I am a survivor of child abuse & spousal abuse. I know personally how self image affects women – I overcame that & would love to help women feel good about themselves!!

  73. Didi VonBargen-Miles on March 16, 2011 at 11:52 am

I love that you’ve built a business model around what some of us do everyday! 🙂 My job is to show women,(sometimes guys need that new view too…) what the rest of world sees- that they are gorgeous- and need to walk taller and appreciate who they are- right where they are at this moment in their lives. Sometimes it’s family session where you can grab shots of the reluctant or women who come to me wanting pin-ups- but not super confident- who get thier images back and say in shock, “WOW!!! you made me look fabulous!!!” And I laugh- you ARE fabulous…. own it and love it!I can also say that after losing my mom unexpectedly – photos are huge- HUGE….. your family will thank you- get out- find someone who’s work rocks you- and have a session shot- you’ll be glad you did. 🙂

  74. Shannon Dodge on March 16, 2011 at 11:52 am

I have been thinking long and hard about doing this and I think it could be my niche! Would love to win and start something new. LOVE the entire idea and premise behind it…Mandi is a genius! What inspires me most about the campaign, is that it’s reaching out to ALL women, no matter size, race, age etc. I think more women need to embrace WHO they are and realize that they are beautiful in their own way. I think I could really make a change in my business with this campaign.

  83. Tammy on March 16, 2011 at 12:32 pm

I saw this campaign a few months ago and I LOVED the idea of photographing women to make them inspired and feel beautiful. I live in a small town in East Texas. We’ve been hit hard by the economy and this is just the thing I need to help moms in my area feel good, beautiful and to keep their families going! Not to mention it would do total wonders for me, in this area as a photographer! Pick me! Pick me!

  84. Becky Woods on March 16, 2011 at 12:33 pm

I LOVE this campaign. I have been one that has struggled with self esteem. Knowing that I could help other women over come that is amazing! This could bring the new “something” to my business I have been looking for.

  85. Chamrie Andrews on March 16, 2011 at 12:33 pm

Growing up we rarely had family pictures taken. My mother is a beautiful and wonderful woman but due to health issues has had weight problems. She always wanted to put off pictures “until___”. After I was married I found myself thinking the same things – we’ll take pictures “when I’m __”. After about a year of avoiding the camera, I realized what I was doing. It has always been sad to me that I didn’t have photographic memories of my family and I didn’t want to bring that into my new family. My husband and I decided that at the VERY LEAST we would take pictures every year at Christmas and have those memories be a priority in our life together.I am inspired to make a difference in the lives of women around me. Every woman needs to feel beautiful and sure of herself and I think this is an amazing way to bring that about. I think that this campaign would help give me the confidence to grow my business into what I want it to be. :)*shared on Facebook* 🙂

  93. Lucia on March 16, 2011 at 12:56 pm

I wept when I viewed your campaign. I am turning 50 this year and thought what a wonderful way to celebrate this monumental year taking images of my friends and clients. So many women my age don’t have photgraphs of themselves – I don’t, because we don’t feel as pretty as we used to. I thought what a wonderful opportunity this would be to make a difference in someone’s life and something I really believe in.

  94. Janna Salmela on March 16, 2011 at 1:10 pm

Wow, I didn’t know about this program. I’ve always felt that everyone is beautiful … it’s why I love photography so much. I love finding that “thing” that makes each of my clients beautiful and surprising them with beautiful portraits. I’d love to be part of this campaign!

  95. Michelle on March 16, 2011 at 1:24 pm

I love this because if a photo is well done then the woman IS beautiful! LOVE this idea and marketing campaign.

  96. Taryn W. on March 16, 2011 at 1:24 pm

The campaign is inspiring because we all are beautiful, but depending on what’s going on in our lives we don’t always feel that way. MBC is a fabulous way for women to feel that beauty from the inside out. The first time I visited the website I cried while watching the YouTube video. I cried because I’m not the same confident woman I was 10 years ago and I want to find her again. Thank you for this wonderful giveaway! I would take great pleasure in being apart of something so amazing. It would benefit my business to help it grow and to help me grow personally. I’m attaching a picture I took years ago of my daughter. I want her to always love herself like this. It should be an inspiration for us all.

I heard about My Beauty Campaign few days ago and I started to smile when I saw what it was all about – convincing woma they are beautiful inside and out. GREAT IDEA, great concept. As a photographer or woman in general I know that woman always think about other people around them shining before they think about themself shining. I was already thinking how to include that into my photography and this would be an amazing help. Power to Woman 🙂

I love how similar this campaign is to the Dove Campaign, inspiring women to love themselves and live happier lives. This would be a great asset to my business, because the more a woman loves herself in the photos, the more likely she is to purchase 😉

  101. Erika on March 16, 2011 at 2:04 pm

I would love to give some confidence back to some of my mom clients that have little ones to take care of. I would love to see more of them in the photos with their kids and even on their own embracing their beauty.

  102. Meri Conroy on March 16, 2011 at 2:18 pm

Oh WOW~! I just checked out the campaign and it TRULY touched my heart and got me crying…. I’s sooooo easy for me to see the beauty in others. but I have an extreamly difficult time seeing it in myself so this hit quite close to home for me. The most beautiful people I know have the same issues and I would LOVE to be able to find a way to show them how the world sees them, how I see them… and maybe I can lean to do the same for myself in the process… thank you for the inspiration!

My absolute favorite thing about photography is when I can take a girls pictures, and when she see’s them, the first thing out of her mouth is ‘wow, I didn’t know I could look like that.’ I think that every woman is beautiful, and we all deserve to have the confidence in ourselves to KNOW “I am beautiful.” If I can give a girl pictures to prove it, that makes me so happy! If I could incorporate this into my business, I know I would have the tools to make a thriving business that caters to the needs of women. I love this campaign & would love the be a part of it <3

As I venture into the world of business-ownership I have realized how much I love high school senior photoshoots and I really strive to make the experience as positive as possible. So many high school girls have horrible body images and they have a rough time with the idea of going off to college where they don’t know anyone. I want to show how beautiful they really are and give them a positive experience. The My Beauty Campaign seems like it would be the perfect additino to my business.

Wow what an awesome awesome campaign – love the mission. Mandy I love your story and can truly say that I know many women who can relate – including myself. As women we tend to be the one’s behind the camera photographing the journey of our family, always putting their needs first in just about everything. The beauty campaign is truly an insipiration and I can see that this type of photo journey would be an amazing experience for all women, as we are all beautiful and it is time to let it shine laides. I could truly see how this program would be a great beneift and addition to my studio and our community and I hope to kick start the mission in my area soon.

When I first heard about The Beauty Campaign I was immediately in love with the idea! One of the main reasons I love photography is being about to show people how beautiful God created them!

  124. Chanda Howald on March 16, 2011 at 6:16 pm

I LOVE this campaign and the purpose behind it. I know I have personally gone through stages in my life when I didn’t like how I looked, felt like I looked fat or ugly, felt insecure, and DIDN’T feel like having my picture taken, much less want to actually SEE myself in any photos. I’m much more comfortable in front of the camera now, but still have my moments that I’m so glad to be behind the camera instead! I can honestly say I’m a BIG fan of Photoshopping, “airbrushing”, and all the fabulous new ways to play with photos to bring out the best in what or whoever the subject may be. I have a dear friend who is beautiful, inside and out, but doesn’t see herself that way right now. We went on a trip together with our husbands and at dinner asked the waitress to take our picture. The next thing I know my friend is crying and I have no idea why! When I ask she says she’s fine but all through dinner I can’t stop thinking if I said something that upset her or did something to hurt her feelings…I felt awful! After dinner I got a chance to pull her aside to beg her to tell me what I’d done to upset her and to please forgive me! With tears in her eyes, she simply said “I don’t like to look at myself in pictures”. She still hates being in pictures and wouldn’t even let me post pics I took at her daughter’s birthday if she was in them. It broke my heart that the idea of herself being seen in a picture was so awful to her that it became more important than celebrating the birth of her own child. I would absolutely LOVE to change that fir her and any other woman, at any age, and show just how beautiful we ALL are…just because we are.

  125. Krista Boivie on March 16, 2011 at 6:39 pm

I think this campaign is a great idea for women to respect and appreciate themselves. The more we can support and celebrate all of the various forms of beauty the better.

  127. Meagan Yevtich on March 16, 2011 at 7:09 pm

I LOVE the Beauty Campaign because I feel like every woman needs to feel good about herself ALL the time. I can remember for a while after having my son, I was so discouraged about how my body changed and never “had time” for myself. Every woman should know that they need to do something for themselves and it can do wonerful things for the relationships all around her. This would help my business A LOT because I’m just starting out and this is EXACTLY the area I want to go into.

  128. Chelsea on March 16, 2011 at 7:58 pm

I have always been that friend, the one who pushes all of her insecure friends to find the beauty in themselves. Every woman needs to have confidence and be comfortable in her own skin. You don’t need to look a certain way to have friends or find a man, you just need to be confident in yourself. Confidence draws people towards you, it makes people want to be your friend and most of all it will make you feel better about yourself! I have come into contact with so many women in my life that need something like the My Beauty Campaign! I think that having them take some time out of their lives and think about all the things that make them beautiful might be able to help them turn their life or at least their personality around. A day of pampering and beautiful photography may help some ladies more than we will ever know.

What I love about the beauty campaign is that it puts the focus back on women. So many women, especially mothers, spend their whole day focused on everyone around them. I love the shift of attention to the caregivers of the world. I have only been in business a little more than one year, and the beauty campaign would help make me memorable and stand out from the other photographers in my area.

I live in a small country town where most women have quite unglamorous lives, living on farms or just generally having to perform tasks normally expected of men. My Beauty Campaign would help women in my community rediscover their beauty and offer me the opportunity to help change their lives.

  152. MarieSam Sanchez on March 17, 2011 at 6:03 am

As someone who has struggled with self image my entire life, I think this campaign will not only help bring the beauty out in the women I photograph but also make me realize the beauty in me. As women, we face so many pressures to be perfect and to conform to unrealistic standards of beauty. The biggest gift that photography has given me is the opportunity to make others realize just how amazing they both inside and out. I want to give the gift of self-confidence and strength to women, but I also want to discover those same qualities in me.

  153. Catherine Warren on March 17, 2011 at 6:19 am

I love the campaign! As a plus sized girl I’ve been pushing that it’s not the size it’s what’s inside that shines through! I love it when my clients see themselves as beautiful through the images we create.

  154. Noel small on March 17, 2011 at 6:35 am

I would LOVE to this contest, I think it would be so nice to help women build their self esteem, and help them feel beautiful. I believe it would benefit my business just from the good karma it would bring, and also because clients who leave their session feeling good, and then who are happy seeing their pictures, and ‘think wow, I AM beautiful’ are wonderful. Helping speed the word about your business, and are likely to be repeat customers!

  155. Lizzy Yates on March 17, 2011 at 6:53 am

I think this is wonderful! I’m not sure I’m the right photographer for this sort of campaign, but I can tell you this campaign of yours reminded me that it’s what’s behind the lens that counts as well. Recently I had an all time low when I actually went to a paid shoot wearing an old pair of jeans, a hand me down shirt from my mother (I’m 30 by the way) and as usual a frumpy looking hat because I just don’t know what to do with my hair. I was not wearing makeup either which is quite normal for me. Put all of this together then take a look at when I got home and realized that my zipper had worked it’s way down during the shoot and was open the whole time! This was the last shoot I had scheduled so I have not worked with anyone since then. From now on though I am going to love me as much as I love photography…..and that’s ALOT! I hope that people will view me as being just as beautiful as the work I produce! My new moto “Let me inspire me”! Then I can go make someone else feel beautiful!

  158. Jennifer Dale on March 17, 2011 at 7:36 am

  159. Jeri on March 17, 2011 at 7:46 am

This is just the kind of campaign that I can really believe in as I was bullied when I was younger. I was called names that made me very self concious. I eventually grew to understand that every woman is beautiful. I would love to add this campaign to my growing photography business.

  171. Caroline Telfer on March 17, 2011 at 10:29 am

Of Course! What a simple idea. Photographers do have the power to improve a person’s self esteem. I just need to know how to convince a woman with low self-esteem to let me photograph her…I always think that “you are never more beautiful than you are today” and it is frustrating when people put off their photography shoot hoping that they will look better at some time in the future.

  172. Elizabeth Williams on March 17, 2011 at 11:45 am

Nine months ago, a fitness instructor at a local studio approached me about doing a artistic nude photo shoot of her. Thinking it was a boudoir shoot to create something for her husband, at our initial client meeting, I showed up with assorted samples and my boudoir portfolio, only to find she had images of Crystal Renn and other plus-size models smiling and revealing fat rolls cut out to show me what she was looking for.She was getting ready to go to her 30th high school reunion, and she told me that made her look at herself and realize that she’d spent the last 30 years hating her body, picking at the imperfections, binging and purging in order to fit the ideal of a high school student, a college student, and then a fitness instructor. She was completely uncomfortable in her own skin, so she wanted a photo that showed her, wrinkles and fat rolls (which she does NOT have) included. That shoot was incredibly fun as we posed and played around with lighting her in a way that was flattering but didn’t look airbrushed. She wanted realism and art.She ended up purchasing an enlargement and two 5x7s–one for herself and one for her husband–from the shoot. She keeps the enlargement in her bedroom so that she can see herself every morning and tell herself “You are beautiful. You are art–without airbrushing or dieting.”Whenever she feels the need to binge or purge, whenever she feels depressed about her appearance, she takes the 5×7 out of her wallet and tells herself “I love myself. I love my curves. I am beautiful.”I think that shoot embodied EVERYTHING that the My Beauty Campaign is about: loving yourself, getting portraits for yourself and no one else, and seeing yourself as beautiful. It’s why I love and support the My Beauty Campaign. (I’ve attached an outtake from the photo shoot.)

  173. Erica Kresovich-Rockey on March 17, 2011 at 1:41 pm

What a wonderful campaign! I’ve seen so many (and at times still am myself) women who are painfully shy and lack confidence at the beginning of their photography session with me. By the time we are have completed, I know I have done my job well if they are smiling, confident and feeling sexy. Many women don’t want to be in front of a camera. However, once you are, it’s very empowering. What a wonderful thing to see someone’s self-confidence grow before your very eyes. I know their photographs will be fantastic becuase I’ve watched these women transform in front of my eyes. This kit will help me reach out to more women and encourage them and to help make them feel as beautiful as they are (as well as myself too!)I’d love the opportnity to be able to share this!

This sounds like something I could use personally! The My Beauty Campaign would help my business because I would like to take my work towards photographing many more moms with their new babies. New moms typically don’t feel at their best physically after they’ve just delivered, and this campaign could help me change that perception.

  177. Tia Thomas on March 18, 2011 at 9:14 am

I LOVE the idea of this. As a photographer, its easy to show the beauty in a very photogenic person, but it can be more challenging to show in a photograph the beauty that you see in someone who is not as photogenic. I personally am like that – I have VERY few photos of myself because I am just not photogenic and I when I see a picture of myself I think “Wow, am I that bad?!” I want to be able to bring that inner beauty to the surface for other women so they look at their photos and say “Wow, I look that good?!?!” I think this would benefit my business because as I want to be able to give that self-confindence to other women and I feel like that will translate into a healthier, happier business situation for me!

I am so touched by the testimonies of the photographers and the women who shared on the website. This is the reason WHY I got into photography. People have value, and for a woman to believe that she isn’t beautiful enough to be photographed, cherished, and saved is heartbreaking. This is the first I’ve heard of this Campaign, but I hope to be a strong part of it!

I just love the concept! Over the last year I have come to terms that I AM BEAUTIFUL! It is a liberating experience once you embrace this concept! I would love to win this!

Fabulous idea and I absolutely LOVE the message it sends to young women. Having a 12 year old daughter and seeing the pressure she already faces, always looking for ways to show her that she is beautiful in her own right.

I believe every woman has beauty. That is what I love about this campaign. The worlds standards don’t matter. I think this is a great campaign and I am going to incorporate this into my business maybe as some sort of mothers day special.

We live in a society that expects women to look perfect. I think this is a great campaign to remind women that we are beautiful just the way we are. I took some pictures of a friend of mine not long ago. When she saw the pictures she told me I made her look beautiful. But that was not true; I simply captured her beauty. I did not make her look beautiful, she already is. It would enhance my business by reaching out to more women.

I LOVE this idea! It is so funny how as we get older, we no longer think we should be photographed unless in a group. I cannot tell you how long it has been since I have had a portrait done….and I’m a photographer!!!! But it is wonderful to help women have confidence in who they are like you said “right now”. Many women have trouble with this concept. I would love to help women see themselves as God’s beautiful creations, just as He does and as others do. What a blessing that would be!

I’ve had my eye on this for a little while now, and I love the concept! Every woman is beautiful, even if – especially if – they don’t know it. I’d love the opportunity to help spread that confidence and empowerment.

This is already something that I decided to make my photography business about, so I’m thrilled to see that other women photographers have this passion as well!

It’s my birthday this weekend so I’m in reflection mode! When I was too young to understand, I never thought about womanly beautyWhen I was at the age where womanly beauty begins, it’s all I ever wantedWhen my womanly beauty blossomed, it was never enough When my I was finally a woman, I worked hard to maintain my womanly beautyThen I had a daughter…Now all I’ll ever see until my dying day is…WOMANLY BEAUTY.I love being a photographer because we have the power in our lens to make ordinary things EXTRAORDINARY. We help people feel differently about the world and themselves. That’s why I’m in this business, and anything I can do to further that cause is incredibly important to me! This is a GREAT idea and I’d love to win this. I want to create a portrait and boudoir part of my business, marketed to “real women”. I want to show that beauty is not “prescribed” by makeup, lighting or fashion…NO! BEAUTY IS JUST LIGHT RADIATING FROM THE SOUL. I have tweeted this amazing giveaway and LIKE you on Facebook!

Self-confidence is a HUGE necessity for women–a heavy hand in determining success and happiness. Just having one stunning photo of oneself can float you on a cloud through the roughest of weather.

Who doesn’t want to FEEL beautiful. All women, regardless of how the world perceives them, feel less than beautiful at times. What a rare gift to give… a new perception of one’s self!

This is such a wonderful idea! I would love to help all women see how wonderful each of us are! Thank you!
