The DSLR camera that will replace the Canon EOS 7D is now rumored to be announced in early September along with a telephoto lens that will succeed the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens.

Canon has been rumored to discontinue the EOS 7D by the end of June 2014. This means that the Japan-based will no longer manufacture this DSLR in order to prepare the launch of its successor.

Unconfirmed reports have revealed that the 7D Mark II will be shown to Pro-grade retailers in July. Furthermore, the camera will be introduced to the masses by the end of August in order to make it in time for the Photokina 2014.

Highly-trusted sources, who have been right in the past, are now claiming that Canon will introduce a substitute for the 7D in early September, right before the aforementioned event.

Usually, Canon announces its products on a Tuesday or a Friday, so we could see the EOS 7D Mark II on September 9 or on September 12.

In the meantime, the Canon 7D is available at Amazon for a dollar under $1,300.
