Canon C300 firmware update 1.0.8.1.00 changelog revealed

The changelog for the C300 / C300PL firmware update 1.0.8.1.00 includes fixes for several issues. Canon has solved a bug which caused difficulties in controlling EF-mounted lenses. According to Canon, C300 users will be able to control EF lenses in a more reliable way on the cinema camera.

Another change, when compared to the older version, consists of corrections to the German and Spanish languages. The texts found in the View Assistance function were not translated correctly in the German and Spanish languages, but Canon has rectified this issue in the latest software upgrade.

Last but not least, color fringing is now adjusted properly when photographing high-contrast subjects.
