DxO Labs is the developer of a very popular photo-editing software called DxO Optics Pro. The company’s engineers have a lot of experience in the digital imaging field, as they are also the guys behind DxOMark, a standard in camera and lens quality.

The Panasonic Lumix GH3 is now supported by the DxO Optics Pro 8.1.4 program.

DxO Optics Pro 8 is now becoming more attractive to photographers worldwide. The software is now compatible with several cameras, including the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and 1 J3 mirrorless camera.

Additionally, the program also supports the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 and the Olympus XZ-2 iHS.

The list of the new lenses supported by the software includes the 1 Nikkor 18.5mm f/1.8 and the Pentax K-mount DA18-270mm F3.5-6.3 SDM.

Thanks to the compatibility with these new cameras, the DxO Optics Pro 8.1.4 update also comes packed with more than two hundred new lens and camera combinations.

DxO Optics Pro 8 now supports over 11,000 modules

These combinations are referred to as modules and the list stretches to more than 11,000 modules now.

The latest software update employs digital combinations between products from multiple manufacturers, such as Nikon, Carl Zeiss, Panasonic, Canon, Olympus, Tokina, Pentax, and Sigma.

DxO Optics Pro 8.1.4 can be used for correcting optical defects like chromatic aberrations, distortion, lens softness, and vignetting.

The software update can be downloaded by all DxO Optics Pro 8 users, as well as DxO Optics Pro 7 owners, who have bought the software since September 1 last year.

Discounts provided by DxO Labs until the end of the month

It is worth noting that DxO Labs is currently offering the image processing program at discounted prices. The Standard Edition can be purchased for $99, while the Elite Edition is available for $199. However, the offer is obtainable until March 31.

Photographers can try the software before purchasing, thanks to a free 30-day trial. Both the trial and full versions can be downloaded on Windows and Mac OS X computers.
