DxO Optics Pro 9 has been announced by DxO Labs with a new noise reduction technology called PRIME.

DxO Optics Pro 9 now available with “PRIME” noise reduction technology

It is called DxO Optics Pro 9 and it comes packed with PRIME, a denoising system which stands for Probabilistic Raw IMage Enhancement.

The software can analyze the depth of your RAW files in order to determine which areas are noisy and which ones consist of fine details.

According to the developer, using this system, users will gain one f-stop when compared to any other existing noise reduction programs.

DxO Labs claims that Optics Pro 9 can literally “reconstruct” a photo by suppressing noise, while preserving details, colors, textures, and saturation. The results will look natural, which is what photographers want while editing their photos.

It’s all about “natural” colors! Smart Lighting adapts to the contents and improves contrast

DxO Optics Pro 9 also features improved color rendering, allowing users to enhance the contrast of the photos by adjusting to the contents found in a respective shot. This technology is called Smart Lighting and it is capable of reproducing lost details and cutting down chromatic aberrations.

One of the other new tools is called DxO Portrait, which is aimed at portrait photos. This feature can maintain natural skin tones and colors.

Improved UI and new presets are here to save the photographers’ time

The company has confirmed that the visual presets library has been altered. It now includes the so-called “Atmospheres”, consisting of artistic renderings.

The list of presets includes Landscape, Single-Shot HDR, Landscape, Black & White, and Portrait.

Additionally, the user interface and the export process have both undergone significant changes for the better.

DxO Optics Pro 9 is now more beautiful and more efficient than its predecessor, thus allowing photographers to save precious time and having fun using the image-editing software.
