Entry-level Canon DSLR camera rumored to be announced soon

The next Canon DSLR that will be announced very soon is actually an entry-level camera that is rumored to be placed below the EOS 100D / Rebel SL1.

The state of rumors concerning Canon cameras is a huge mess. There have been so many contradictory whispers that it is hard for people to comprehend what will happen in the near future with the EOS line-up.

A DSLR that needs to be replaced as soon as possible is the EOS 7D. For many months, sources have discussed about the EOS 7D Mark II. However, recently, it has been pointed out that there will not be any 7D Mk2, but a replacement is on its way.

It is said to revolutionize Canon’s series and to be a high-end APS-C model. The latest intel is suggesting that it is coming at CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show 2014, but its name remains in the dark.

Entry-level Canon DSLR camera to be released before the EOS 7D replacement

Unfortunately for people aiming to buy a high-end APS-C Canon EOS DSLR, they will have to wait a little longer for that model. In the wake of new information leaked on the web, it appears that the next EOS shooter is an entry-level unit.

A “great source” has revealed that an entry-level Canon DSLR camera is the next EOS in line for an announcement. The launch event is said to take place very soon and this qualifies for CP+ 2014, which opens doors for visitors on February 13.

Next Canon EOS DSLR to be placed below the 100D and could be the 1100D replacement: 1200D

Canon 1100D might be the DSLR camera that will be replaced soon, but it remains to be seen whether the 1200D or another device will take its place.

A person familiar with the matter is saying that the new model will be placed below the EOS 100D / SL1. This is the smallest and lightest DSLR ever released on the market. However, it is not the low-end unit in Canon’s line-up, as the 1100D / Rebel T3 takes this spot.

This device has been introduced in early 2011 and it would make sense to be replaced by another camera in early 2014. The problem is that a recent speculation has revealed that the EOS 1200D is not real and it is not coming on the market.

There are too many confusing details available on the web, which makes us wonder whether or not Canon has been feeding false information to the press. The good thing is that we do not have to wait for much longer, as CP+ 2014 is approaching fast.

What’s next?

After Canon announces its entry-level DSLR, the Japan-based company will release two new DSLRs by the end of 2014. The same source, who leaked the details about the low-end EOS, is claiming that one of the shooters is the EOS 7D replacement.

The other one, however, is unknown and no specifications have been leaked. Either way, this year we have been “promised” by the rumor mill that the manufacturer will launch a plethora of lenses and we are still waiting.
