Recently, we have heard through the grapevine that Fujifilm is actually developing two new cameras, one of them being the X-mount camera, which will also feature an APS-C X-Trans image sensor. Additionally, the other camera will most likely come packed with the 12.3-megapixel sensor found in the X100.

The camera with the critically-acclaimed X-Trans sensor has received more attention from the public. As a result, more details about it have been revealed. The latest batch of information has confirmed that Fujifilm will offer the body along with multiple lens kits.

Sources say that the new entry-level Fujifilm X-mount camera will become available along with an 18-55mm lens, 27mm pancake optic, and a 18-55mm and 55-200mm bundle.

These combinations will target different price points with the 18-55mm being the cheapest. Portrait photographers will benefit from the 27mm prime lens, while professional lensmen will have to take more money out of their pockets for the 18-55mm and 55-200mm units.

New Fujifilm X-mount camera specs are mostly unknown

The Japanese company has scheduled the new X-mount shooter’s release date for July 2013. The specs list of the device has not been leaked yet, but sources have revealed what the mirrorless camera will not have.

According to inside sources, the camera will not sport an integrated viewfinder and will have fewer control buttons and dials than its bigger siblings. Since this is a rumor, it would be wise to remain vigilant and not to get your hopes too high.
