Ilford has announced the Harman Titan 8×10 pinhole camera

The company has decided to take it to the next level with the introduction of the Harman Titan 8×10 pinhole camera. The new product is compatible with all photographic films based on 8×10 film or with custom photographic paper.

The camera is based on a beautiful design. It is manufactured out of plastic injection molding-based ABS, while a water resistant coating covers the exposure calculator. This fact allowed the pinhole camera to weigh 800 grams, thus being easy to transport.

The 8×10 pinhole camera has a staggering f/288 aperture

Ilford’s Harman Titan 8×10 pinhole camera features a 150mm focal length cone, 0.52mm pinhole, an impressive fixed lens with f/288 aperture, and a 94.7 degree angle of view.

Its advantage is the aforementioned 8×10 film holder, which is also compatible with photographic paper. However, only the Multigrade IV RC Deluxe will work, said Ilford. If a user has a different paper, then he will have to trim it in order to fit into the camera.

The manufacturer added that the pinhole exposure calculator can be easily assembled on the camera. As stated above, it is waterproof thanks to the fact that it is made out of Melinex polyester films.

The camera can be mounted on a tripod

The Harman Titan 8×10 pinhole camera employs a cold shoe, allowing photographers to mount accessories on it. Speaking of which, a tripod mount is also available for the users.

Ilford will add the exposure calculator, user instructions, the outdoor guidance, and Walker Cameras warranty into the pinhole camera package.

Price and availability details revealed

The Ilford 8×10 pinhole camera will become available across Europe in April for a price of £299. The product is also scheduled for launch in the United States, but it will only cross the Atlantic sometime in May. Price details for the US market remain unknown.

Harman Express is also offering the aforementioned  Multigrade IV RC Deluxe film holder for a price of £17.05. It consists of 25 sheets of paper measuring 8×10-inches. Another 8×10-inch film holder is available from Toyo for a price of £135.
