iPhone Photography Awards 2013 photo contest winners revealed

The iPhone has shaped the world of smartphones like no other, but it has also brought a huge contribution to the world of photography. And so, the iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) has been founded in 2007.

It is dubbed as the longest and most prestigious iPhone-related photography contest. This year, it has reached its sixth edition, while amassing thousands of photos submitted by iPhoneographers worldwide.

Going through all pictures is not easy, but the judges have finally announced the winners of the 2013 edition.

Holly Wesley is the iPhone Photographer of the Year 2013

As one would image, all pictures must be captured with an iPhone. Well, this is exactly what the winners have done, but the best of them has been Holly Wesley, who is based in Argyll, Scotland.

Holly is now the iPhone Photographer of the Year 2013, thanks to an impressive close-up shot of a horse and a great background dominated by a cloud and a field.

Second place has gone to Brolin Roney from Orem, US, who has captured a photo at the Festival of Colors, while third place has been awarded to Bob Weil, thanks to a beautiful shot of a lady in red walking in heavy snow.

All top three placed photographers in this category will receive an iPad Mini and their photos will be featured in a special ebook, which will become available at the iBookstore.
