Photographer Kapstand is capturing amusing photos of himself in front of iconic landmarks in France while standing still in handstand position.

Living in the era of communications and traveling allows people to capture photos of themselves while visiting famous landmarks and iconic buildings, then to post them on social networking websites.

This makes them feel special which is a very good thing, but how do you stand out from the crowd when your friends and family are no longer there to admire you? Well, you do what every normal person would do: capture portraits of yourself doing handstands in front of popular places.

The OneHandStand Project shows photographer doing handstands in front of iconic landmarks in France

One of the funniest collections on Instagram belongs to Kapstand, a breakdancer from France. While not dancing for hip-hop bands, Kapstand is doing handstands in multiple locations and takes photographs of the whole deal.

His collection is entitled “The OneHandStand Project” for the obvious reasons. The photographer’s main goal is to have fun seeing the world in his own way.

He is not showing his face, in order to keep the whole thing mysterious and so far this has worked pretty well for him as he has more than six thousand followers on the social network.

No popular structure in Paris has escaped Kapstand’s pose

Kapstand is currently living in Paris, France. He has recently moved there from a little town in north-eastern France. The idea for the project has been inspired by the renowned “Follow Me” series by Murad Osmann, which consists of photos of a girl leading his boyfriend-photographer around the world.

While “The OneHandStand Project” is based on the same idea, Kapstand is currently sharing photos from his home country, mostly captured in one of the most romantic cities in the world: Paris.

Images have been captured in front of the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, Esplanade de La Défense, the Palace of Versailles, Place de la Madeleine, Musée d’Orsay, Capbreton’s lighthouse and more.

Kapstand is planning to do handstands across the world

Earlier in March, Kapstand has been invited by Noki and Zeiss at the latter’s headquarters in Germany. Other photography-enthusiast instagramers have been there, too, and it seems like they have all received a 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 with a camera grip.

In the future, the breakdancing photographer is aiming to visit important places around the globe and do handstands in front of them. You can watch his progress at his official Instagram page.

Until then, we can only congratulate him for his prize, photography, while thanking him for breaking the boundaries and giving us a good laugh.
