Leica Store Miami now open with M Type 240 camera on display

Leica has opened a new store in Miami, directly into the heart of the Coral Gables shopping district.

Most, if not all, digital imaging product makers are not doing so well. The reasons are clear and no one is afraid to admit that the smartphone industry is chewing off customers from the digital camera market.

Leica opened a new store in the United States. It is called Leica Store Miami and allows photographers to take the company’s products for a test drive.

However, this did not stop Leica from opening a new store in the United States. The new Leica Store Miami is positioned at 372 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables.

This area is regarded as the shopping district of Miami and photographers can now enjoy the products of one of the biggest camera manufacturers in the world.

The Germany-based company opened the store on February 25, 2013. A party will be held on March 21, in order to celebrate the opening of the new location. Additionally, Leica will hold workshops two days in a row after the grand opening party.

Vice President of Marketing, Roland Wolff, said that the new store will provide access to Leica products to a “wider audience”. The location was opened in collaboration with Dale Photo & Digital, which is considered Leica’s premier dealer in America.

Photographers can take the Leica M Type 240 camera for a “test drive”

The store features 2,200 square-foot of pure Leica experience, where potential customers will be able to check out the company’s full lineup of photography products.

Leica will allow photographers to test its “entire product portfolio”, including some special edition cameras, such as the X2 Paul Smith Limited Edition. Moreover, customers can even schedule a 30-minute “test drive” with the Leica M Type 240 camera.

Two other stores are already available in the United States. One of them is located in Washington D.C., while the other one can be found in New York City. Mr. Wolff announced that the German manufacturer will open new stores across North America by the end of this year.

The Leica Store Miami is open six days of the week, from Monday to Saturday.
