Lensbaby releases four lenses for Fujifilm X-mount cameras

Lensbaby has confirmed that a few of its lenses are now available for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras, just like the rumor mill predicted at the beginning of the year.

In early 2015, a source claimed that Lensbaby would bring some of its optics to the X-mount line-up. The gossip talks have turned out to be true as the company has just announced that four of its lenses are now available for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras.

The third-party lens maker has revealed that the Composer Pro with Sweet 35 Optic, Composer Pro with Sweet 50 Optic, Circular Fisheye, and Velvet 56 lenses are now compatible with all of Fuji’s X-mount cameras.

Lensbaby has announced that some of its lenses are now available for Fujifilm X-mount cameras and the products are marked as such at the company’s store.

The optics made by Lensbaby can add a lot of creativity to any photographer’s portfolio. The company’s co-founder Craig Strong has claimed that Fuji X users have been quite vocal about Lensbaby’s products, so the whole team has decided to release some lenses for Fujifilm X-mount cameras.

It is very likely that more products will be launched in the future, but four of them are available for X-Pro1, X-T10, and other Fuji models right now. The four models are the Sweet 35 and Sweet 50 Composer Pro lenses along with the Circular Fisheye and Velvet 56, the latter being the newest product in the manufacturer’s line-up.

What Fuji X users will get from Lensbaby

The Composer Pro Sweet 35 and Sweet 50 optics are offering a focal length of 35mm and 50mm, respectively. Their maximum aperture stands at f/2.5, while the minimum one is set at f/22. The duo comes with a 46mm filter and offers a “sweet focus spot” for street as well as portrait photographers.

The Circular Fisheye model provides a 5.8mm focal length with a maximum aperture of f/3.5. This is a landscape or indoor lens that provides creative fisheye effects broadening your views.

The Velvet 56 is a macro lens aimed at portrait photographers which was unveiled in early April 2015. It has been introduced with a 56mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/1.6. This version has been launched for Canon and Nikon cameras at first, but it can be purchased in Fujifilm X, Sony E, and Micro Four Thirds mounts as of today.

Lensbaby has announced that the Sweet 50 and Circular Fisheye models are available for $299.95, the Sweet 35 for $379.95, and the Velvet 56 for $499.95. More information is available at the company’s store.
