Win Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2

Categories

Featured Products

Win a brand new sealed copy of Adobe’s Lightroom 2 – a $299 value. While I am more a Photoshop CS4 fanatic, I do use Lightroom as a way to sort through my photos and do basic white balance and exposure adjustments.  It is capable of so much more than I use it for too.  But you just cannot pull me from my roots.

I would love to own Lightroom 3 and the quick clicks collection! I’m an amateur photographer with a small business. I get a lot of customers and sometimes get SO backed up when editing photos. Having to make the same edits to every one is very time consuming. The quick clicks will speed up my return time and give me a chance to shoot more! I’m currently using Photoshop CS5. I’m not a huge fan, it’s a little complicated.I just liked your FB page, but I can’t believe I didn’t sooner! This stuff is amazing 🙂

She is such an encouragement to me, and I’d love to bless her with it!2. I use PE9 but not much now that I use Lightroom 3~LR3 and the Quick Clicks have completely changed my editing process, but I still use Amazing Faces set, and my Fusion now and then as well.3. I am very very new to Photoshop CS4 and am clueless but learning how to use it as I purchased a tutorial on how to use it. My current environment is Mac – however, I only have a Lightroom 1 license for Mac. I own Lightroom 2, but it is for my (slower) PC. As a disabled artist who has been on a bit of a hiatus for the past two years, software becomes an issue of food vs creativity. The Quick Clicks Presets would vastly speed up and simplify my image selection and refining process. Especially like the Black and White presets, as well as the finishing ones.2. What editing software do you use now?Lightroom 2 on my pc, Lightroom 1 on my mac when I’m shooting with my older body. Otherwise, Preview, horror of horrors.3. Confirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ if you do not confirm this, your entry will NOT count (go here to “like us” if you have not prior)I’ve ‘liked’ MCP actions on Facebook.

As there does not seem to be an edit button… I also use CS3 Photoshop Extended on my PC.

    1. I need lightroom because I think it would help me cull and edit more quickly and I’ve heard how awesome presets are and how people only need to pull photos into photoshop afterwards for minor things plus I think it would give more consitency to processing my RAW files2. Currently use cs53. I like MCP on Facebook

1.Why do you NEED Lightroom 3 and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets? I would need Light Room 3 to help me start my photography business and to understand what it takes to edit a great picture.MCP’s quick clicks presets has nice soft and vibrate colors. The presets are unique and gives you a variety of everything. What editing software do you use now? As of right now I have Light Room 3 30 day trail version. Confirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ if you do not confirm this, your entry will NOT count (go here to “like us” if you have not prior) I have always been a fan of MCP and appreciate the help that I receive when answering a question.

I NEED Lightroom and MCP’s Quick Clicks because I am tired of waiting forever for Photoshop’s actions to run. I just bought the MCP Fusion set, and while it’s awesome, I knew Lightroom was really the way I should be going. Too hard to fork over all that money right now!Currently I’m on PS CS5.I most definitely LIKE you!

I have just asked for an extended leave, FMLA, to be with my mom in her last days. I will be taking early retirement from my Elementary Art Teaching job. This is the time for a new chapter in my life and career. I have good equipment, some know-how and a little bit of talent that can be developed. I would love to use this for the group “Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep”, a volunteer organization. I use Picasa to edit my photos now, but really need something better. I just don’t have a lot of money and would benefit from Lightroom so much. I have friends that use it and tell me how fantastic it is to use. Of course, I’ve seen the results and know how amazing it is to their photography. PLEASE!!!!! Choose me! I promise to use it to help others and spread the word about MCP and Lightroom!!!!

I NEED Lightroom and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets because I have read how great Lightroom is at organizing photos and doing quick edits. It would be great to have MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets to get me started learning how to use Lightroom to my full advantage.I currently use Picasa to organize and do quick edits. I use Photoshop CS5 for more involved editing. I’ve been dreaming about getting Lightroom for ages, but being unemployed, it seems very far in my future :(I like” MCP Actions on Facebook.

  192. Rlcigar on November 2, 2011 at 2:24 pm

I really need Lightroom 3 because I’m getting very unorganized with the 5000+ photos on my computer. The MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets will provide me the much needed help getting my photos looking great!. I presently have no editing software – boo- and I’m waiting for Lightroom 3 to be offered at a reduced price or win this fantastic offer – Hurray! I did click the “LIKE” button on the MCP Facebook page.

    1. I just purchased Lightroom 3 a few weeks ago (but have PLENTY of people I could give this copy to if I won) But I have fallen in love with the MCP Presets… so many options!2. Mostly using Photoshop Elements 8 and still testing the waters with LR33. I’ve already “liked” MCP on FB 🙂

Your Photoshop actions, especially Bag of Tricks and the Magic Skin, Dentist and Eye Doctor triad, have made editing more fun, easier, and given me shortcuts that produce fantastic results where my old “longcuts” were sometimes still failing. I’m a more confident editor and as a result a better and more confident photographer. Thank you! The only problem is, it takes me ages of playing ,masking and dithering to get my final colour or B/W effects solid. I would love to have the one-click endless-possibilities of your Lightroom Presets to get my workflow down to a manageable amount of time on each image, plus I just love the effects!I’m using Photoshop CS5 with the NIK Software plugins, and I don’t just ‘like’ your FB page, I love it. 😉

1.Why do you NEED Lightroom 3 and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets?I NEED, yes really a NEED!!, Lightroom 3 because I’ve recently lost my one and only child, my little boy Boone, and would love to edit the photos/memories I have of/with him to make him look as precious as I possibly can. I turned my love of photographing him into more of a passion for photography and just have landed a dream mentorship with a professional that shares my passion for photography. I really need a better route of editing the photos I take!! 2.What editing software do you use now?Currently I’ve been using Picasa 3 or just putzing around with Picnik and Photobucket.3.Confirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ I most certainly do!!

Hi, I need Lightroom and the presets to facilitate quicker editing of my family photos. I’m hoping that the ease of Lightroom will help with the backlog of unedited photos that are just sitting on my computer. I need to get these printed and up on my walls 🙂 The presets look amazing. Right now I am struggling with Elements 7.I already like MCP on facebook. Thank you for the chance at this incredible giveaway!

  203. Barbara on November 2, 2011 at 2:40 pm

I NEED Lightroom 3 and the presets because I’m just starting my photography business – in fact, I had my first shoot this morning. Friends and co-workers are asking me, so I feel it’s a path I need to explore. I have PSE 9, but I’m just learning it and from what I hear from friends, Lightroom is better for portraits – easier, quicker and just as effective. Up until now I’ve used Picasa. I’m already a FB Fan (but confirmed it!) Thanks for the giveaway!

  204. Guy Versfeld on November 2, 2011 at 2:42 pm

I need LR3 because the presets would work so well with it! 🙂 I need the presets because, well honestly, who doesn’t need these presets!?!?!?I’m using PS CS5 at the mo, great but not ideal for my photography workflow.Have been a fan of the facebook page and the actions for some time already!

  225. Kerry on November 2, 2011 at 3:40 pm

    1. I NEED lightroom and MCP’s quick clicks. I am full of desire when I look at the facebook page every single day. For the past five years, I have been using the kind of so-so not very excited editing program that shutterfly offered. They recently did away with it – with no warning. Around the same time, our computer fried when the power surged on and off several times. We are in the process of trying to get something else, but all the programs and data are gone. I would be over the moon to see what I could do with Lightroom and the presets. I have so many photos from the past that were just not quite there that I would love to see come to life with your amazing presets! I am not super tech savy, and sometimes I feel frustrated by how little I know about something that I love. I feel that Lightroom and the presets could help take my passion to a new level and give me the confidence to know that I could do so much more.2. Embarrassingly, I only use crop and red eye remover on shutterfly. 🙁 Occassionally if I have a photo in serious need of help, I do a little work with the tools in picasa.3. I have liked MCP actions on facebook, would love it if that were a choice!

Why do I need it?? I am just starting out in the photography world after being a graphic designer and mom. I am editing in the OLD Photoshop CS. I feel like I am in the dark ages because it seems like all the new tutorials and actions are for CS2 and up. Please help!right now I am using the said Photoshop CS with the occasional actions I can find that work with it.I like MCP actions on facbook 🙂

  234. Jen on November 2, 2011 at 3:51 pm

Woot!I NEED Lightroom because I am 9 days away from my trial being over and I don’t know how in the world I can live without it!!! I was using PSE 8 and this entire trial period I only used LR and my images were BETTER than a much more laborious ACR/Bridge/PSE combo that I was working on before. I NEED the Quick Presets because I’m killing myself on so much editing *and* I tend to be inconsistent 🙁 Boo–one click and my whole set will have the same look. Fab!I was already a fan of MCP Actions on FB, but just wanted to double check–whew, still there 🙂

Also, I added you to my RSS feed. Fun! I would totally add you to a my blog, but….um, I don’t have one. I have a 365 from 2009, but that wouldn’t really be fair to say I added that because no one checks a blog that hasn’t been updated in almost 3 years.

I really do NEED Lightroom! I’m saving for it now. I use CS3 and I don’t like processing in camera raw, there is too much noise and not sharp enough. I am using the formerly free version of Lightroom called Raw Shooter. The problem is that it doesn’t work on a Mac. So I have two computers to work with and its becoming cumbersome. It’s just time to update. You know how that eventually happens with all computer technology. Thanks for the chance to win!

I’m currently working a 9am-8pm job plus trying to start my own photography business on the weekends this set will cut my editing time in half and make my life so much easier! If I had the $ to spare I would of bought it by now!2. I’m currently using Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom 33. I’ve “liked” you on facebook and loved you ever since. I look forward to seeing your daily tips and tricks throughout the work day.

I have learned so much from your blog posts! I am already a fan on Facebook and get your blog updates via email and eagerly read them every morning! I am not a skilled photoshop person and so could definitely use Lightroom 3 and the presets in order to assist with my workflow and taking my final images to the next level!

  266. Becky on November 2, 2011 at 5:18 pm

I need lightroom 3 because I only have 25 days left on the trial! The presets are a must have because I’m still learning the editing process and they really help.Right now I’m using LR3 trial and Paint.Net.And yes, I’ve liked you on Facebook 🙂

I would love to have Lightroom, and the presets because I have neither. I love your presets, but cannot use them because I don’t have a program that runs most presets. I am already a fan of MCP.

  270. Leelee Hare on November 2, 2011 at 5:42 pm

I have Lightroom 2 but would love to upgrade to Lightroom 3. I have some MCP Actions, but love the ease they add to editing, that’s why I would love to win. I currently use Lightroom 2 and Photoshop CS4. I already “like” you on Facebook but will be happy to “like” you again, since they don’t have a “love” button, cause I love MCP Actions. I have not been disappointed with anything I’ve gotten from you whether paid or free. MCP Rocks!

I do not have a photography business, but I still need Lightroom and the presets because I teach a yearbook class. WIthin that, I have to teach photography and photograph editing. Right now, we use Photoshop, but I can only afford a license for a teacher, so it’s on my personal laptop. What a lovely giveaway! I need Lightroom 3 AND the Quick Click presets because I am still editing in Elements 5, and can’t edit as beautifully that way. I just love your presets, they make “developing” literally a quick click, and that means I can spend more time taking photos. I am already a fan of MCP on facebook, I liked your page a while ago and I still do! I highly recommend you. Thank you for this opportunity.

    1. Over the last few years I have had issues with the RAW profiles of my cameras in Aperture. There was always this color shift that would take months to fix. I tried Lightroom out and there were no color shifts! Also, the built-in noise reduction is awesome. Didn’t know about the MCP presets until today, so I watched the slideshow. WOW! I could definitely use MCP presets.2. Aperture 3

I have been teaching photography @ Clovis High School since 1980. We use Photoshop and Lightroom as our primary editing tools for our digital work. We also still do traditional B&W film photography. I love Lightroom and have been religiously using it since the original Lightroom was introduced. My students quickly learn what a great tool Lightroom is for image editing. Many students ask how they can get Lightroom for their computer and I gladly share sources where Lightroom can be purchased. Each semester, I recognize a student for his/her outstanding achievement in the course and try to provide them with some small gift for their efforts. What an awesome gift it would be to be able to give them Lightroom 3 with some great presets! Thank you for making this opportunity available!!

1-I need Lightroom to help my editing flow faster! I have put off purchasing it since I finally have a routine that works, despite it probably not being the most time efficient. I keep hearing so many people say they thought the same thing, but once they started using Lightroom they can’t imagine life without it. I would love to find out if this is true!2-I use CS53-I have been a liker on FB for awhile now! Love all your products. Thanks so much!

  331. Nancy on November 3, 2011 at 1:19 am

I would be spending WAY too much time fussing with images if I didn’t have Lightroom 3, it makes my life so much smoother. That’s why I NEED MCP’s new Quick Clicks Presets too – I think it would be so helpful to just click to edit! I currently use Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5 for editing, I also use Portraiture and Photo Suite 5 from OnOne. I am a Facebook fan of MCP Actions and “like” them on FB!

  332. Denise Miller on November 3, 2011 at 1:48 am

I’ve recently been asked by several close friends to take pics of their families. I’m scared to death to disappoint them. I currently do not have any photo editing software but am vaguely aware of the programs. Any software I get would be an improvement over the raw pictures I have out there now. I like (love more like it) your work and someday hope to be a sliver as good as you. I’m a fan of MCP Actions (I actually found you through the Pioneer Woman website.

#1 – I really need Lightroom because I am beginning to feel stagnant in my photo processing. It seems like all my images are turning out the same – personal style aside. I know that Lightroom has so much industry support with the MCP actions, other plugins and even community support with so many presets available. The options with an application like this are limited only to the imagination.#2 – I currently use Bibble 5.#3 – I have liked MCP on FB for quite some time now and follow regularly.

It was a FABULOUS month!! I was so sad when my trial ran out! :-(2. My current editing software is PSE 9.3. Already LIKE you on FB! :-)Thanks!!

    1. I don’t need Lightroom but my father does. He’s a life long photographer and retired minister. Now that he has the time to spend on his photography, he wants to learn more about digital darkroom. I think he’s the best because he taught me how to take pictures and has supported me in becoming a professor of graphic design. He needs Lightroom because Photoshop LE is no longer cutting it for him!2. I currently use Photoshop CS5.5 and Lightroom 3 at work, and predominantly Photoshop CS5.5 at home. Dad uses Photoshop LE3. I like you on Facebook and suggest my students interested in photography do too!

    1. I absolutely NEED And have WANTED lightroom ever since I officially started my photography business a few months ago. I am a stay at home mom trying to help my husband make ends meet. We simply cannot afford any editing software right now. Lightroom would allow me to offer even more impressive keepsakes for my clients. I currently cannot create the “look” and style I want my photos to portray. Presets would be a dream come true, It would allow me to edit quicker and spend more time with my boys ( maybe even allow me to edit my clients photos other than at 2am 🙂 ) 2. I am currently using picnik as my editing tool :/. Although it has decent quick fixes it definitely does not do justice for my photos. I would die if i had lightroom!! 3. I am definitely a liker on your facebook page!! 🙂

As all photographers know, this is not an easy – or inexpensive – adventure to use. The editing software that I use now just isn’t cutting it. I need a software that it easier to use, won’t constantly freeze up my computer, and does a better job than the the software that I’m using now.2. Currently I use Creative Memories Memory Manager Plus and Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus.3. #1) Obviously to enhance my work. I use alot of textures, but have noticed the busier I’m getting the less time I have to apply them. The preset’s seem (I’ve NEVER used them) to offer such a variety of tones and applying them takes a fraction of the time from what I see! I’ve been shooting professionally for less than a year and my set up has been expensive. I could really use the help, and I feel like this would benefit me tremendously!! #2)Photoshop Elements 8#3) Yes, I have “liked” your page!!! 🙂

I am fairly new to photography but I’m already in love with it. I started out when my son was born. I had a little point and shoot canon camera that I used to love. However when my son was born I thought he was just so perfect and beautiful I began to get frustrated with the images I was getting of him. They were nowhere near the perfection that I, as his mother saw. I wanted a real representation of what my son looked like, so I began researching how to get better photos. I was shocked at the amount of work that went into making a really good photograph. No way that you had to do all of these different things to get a good quality photograph! It was so much work. But as experience has taught me, good photography is actually very difficult! My first step was to get into a film class at my local college. I bought a beautiful 35mm camera and really got to know the other side of photography. I spent hours in the darkroom at school obsessively exposing, dodging, burning and a multitude of other things. We did solely black and white images so it really taught me to think my pictures through before taking them. I couldn’t really on color to make my images stand out. It was a great learning experience. Now I’ve upgraded to a canon 5d mark II which is a wonderful camera, but because I don’t have an endless money pit I’ve been forced to make some budget cuts on my editing software. I have the trial versions of both lightroom and cs5 and I absolutely love them. I have been scouring the internet looking for different editing techniques and yours are by far the most beautiful I have seen. And here I am with no money to by them! Lol. It would mean a lot to win this! I will cross my fingers and hope that the random generator comes my way!Oh and I would use the gift certificate towards a class, I think. I love the actions and want all of them actually but there is no comparison to first hand knowledge!!I’m attaching one of the pictures I used the High Definition Sharpening Action on.

  447. Marit Welker on November 3, 2011 at 5:15 pm

Why do you NEED Lightroom 3 and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets?I am new as a full-time portrait photographer. In this market finances are hard enough. My time is so valuable in processing that without lightroom and quality presets, I could never, EVER make a profit. I only have sample MCP presets and actions, but they are the ones I turn to first, everytime! And I do not have lightroom on my main computer, except as a sample. I would LOVE to be able to put lightroom on my computer and not just on my husband’s laptop that I borrow!!! ______________________________________What editing software do you use now? I use PSE 5, Photoshop cs5 trial, and lightroom when I can. I LOVE them all.______________________________________Confirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ if you do not confirm this, your entry will NOT count (go here to “like us” if you have not prior) I liked MCP actions on facebook a long time ago because, as I said, they have the best presets and actions I have tried- and I have tried many! When I am more established, I want to try them ALL!!! (my facebook id is Marit Dahneke Welker and my business ID is WelkerPhotographycom on facebook.

  467. Corinne on November 3, 2011 at 9:00 pm

Crossing my fingers on this one… YEAH!1.Why do you NEED Lightroom 3 and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets?*** I’m starting my 2nd year of full-time photog biz & everyone tells me that Lightroom is where it’s at for fast editing (which I need to figure out because I spend WAY to much time now). I need it to streamline my workflow to help make sure I can stay on track with business. Same goes for the Quick Clicks Presets… since I don’t know much about Lightroom – the presets would be the icing on the cake. I currently use Fusion Actions on 80% of my images so I can only image how awesome it would be to have more tools in my box. What editing software do you use now? Photoshop CS5 using Adobe RawConfirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ if you do not confirm this, your entry will NOT count (go here to “like us” if you have not prior) Oh YES… been a fan for awhile along with Blog.

  468. Bobbi Jo on November 3, 2011 at 9:30 pm

  470. Kayla on November 3, 2011 at 10:22 pm

Why do you NEED Lightroom 3 and MCP’s Quick Clicks Presets?~I am new to the photography business although I have done it as a hobby for a long time now. My newborn son has become my newest model and I just don’t seem to have the programs I need to edit or organize the photos. Along with that your presets I have noticed are absolutely amazing! Every time a new post appears on your facebook page with a new photo i am extremely jealous that I have no way to take advantage of your presets! What editing software do you use now?~I have a really old version of photoshop that I don’t even know which one it is. And I am not very patient at trying to learn it either because I would rather get something more up to date!Confirm that you “like” MCP Actions on Facebook “ñ if you do not confirm this, your entry will NOT count (go here to “like us” if you have not prior)~I definitely LIKE MCP Actions. LOVE would actually be a better term. I also love that you are from MICHIGAN!

    1) I am an amateur photographer who uses automatic point and shoot so i don’t really need lightroom and all, but my sister enrolled in this photography program and i thought it will be nice if i could win this and give it to her as a gift for her birthday coming next month. 2) I have no photo editing software but i believe my sister is using photoshop CS3?3) I don’t use Facebook but i went on and liked just for this contest. I am not sure about your confirming requirement but i also tweeted and shared this contest on twitter

This has been a tough couple years for my husband and I, and he has decided to call it quits after 23 years. So . . . the reason I need LR3 is that I am at a place to make some changes in my life and live it the way I want. I can take decent photos, but always seem to fall short with the editing. I would like nothing more than to be able to upgrade to LR3 and have these new Quick Click Presets in my arsenal to begin my journey as a photographer.

Hi I am a photographer in training, and would absolutely love to have Lightroom 3 and Quick Click Presets to help enhance my photographs. I am a graphic designer by trade and I have Photoshop that I currently use for my photos now, but I know that Lightroom was made especially for photographers, and I am really excited about using Quick Click Presets for some really creative looking work. After 20 years working for a newspaper I have been laid off. So now I am working really hard on learning a new career, but of coarse being unemployed has made it difficult to build up my photo equipment and software. I love reading your blog and of course I have liked you on facebook! I will also share you on twitter. It would be awesome to win this.
